Placed an order a few hours ago for the Nemi an a KFL+, some 28g wire an sony battery.. I hope this can hold me over for a while Lol. Going to get chewed out for this one I feel it.

Anyone have any fixes for the nemi button? I remember someone saying around the forums to take out the small spring in the switch and that should be good. Anyone else have tips for either device?

Heh - eBay has been the ruin of many a vaper (there should be a group for that on the forum). But it's a happy ruin - one in which you... are... not... smoking.

Nice bit of kit you just picked up. Congrats :toast:

As for the nemi switch, two options - take out the spring as you've seen, or switch out the springs for magnets. The issue you'll find is a crunchy fire button, which is surprisingly annoying. You can get the magnets from the OEM (Atmomixani), when they're in stock, of from the very erroneously named fasttech.

Vape strong (you lucky snake).

I dont really mind ebay that much, I've always had a good experience with em so far so good. I'll try the spring first and see what happens Laz. And thank you! I was doing a whole week or more of research an I said Screw it hah, Nemi has some great feedback and everyone likes the KFL+ so why not. I'm hoping it'll be a good choice once it gets here.

Although the weird thing is it said the location is in Laughlin Nevada. Then I check Tracking an it say Chino hills CA?? Seems a bit weird, Still waiting for an email back from the seller so we will see whatsup with that one .

As Soon as you get the Nemesis - AS SOON!!!! - remove and disassemble the switch(CAREFULLY)

Thoroughly clean every part and dry.(NOT in a sink)
Place a bit of lubricant, not oil, on the switch shaft and assemble the switch. I use Jacks Lubricant.(pool supply)

If you attempt using the switch right off and anything is between the parts it can scratch the brass section and cause binding.

I would suggest going into your garage and see if you cant find a lil bit of grease and wd-40 might work but it may be a tad to lite.

Don't think theres any grease in my garage here in Reno. Just moved out here with my dad for now and I really don't think theres much in the garage for tools. It's not like my house on Kaua'i man, I had every tool needed at my papas house acquired over the years. along with the heaping amount of lubes, oils man you name it. I'd have no problems tinkering with my mods there Lol. My dad's a DJ Which is awesome, Just miss wrenching on my ATV back home. Gotta ship that sucker out here along with some of my tools.

Your waiting - noting better to do
Go to an Auto parts store and ask for a tiny tube of distributor points lube.(old car ignitions) Might cost a buck.
WD-40 is NOT a lubricant, it is a penetrating fluid.

Not quite... WD-40 is a water displacer... hence the name, WD (water displacement) 40 (40th "recipe" they tried)

LOL, see the link.

Or read this quote.

Myth: WD-40 Multi-Use Product is not really a lubricant.
Fact:
While the “W-D” in WD-40 stands for Water Displacement, WD-40Multi-Use Product is a unique, special blend of lubricants. The product’s formulation also contains anti-corrosion agents and ingredients for penetration, water displacement and soil removal.

40 years automotive background. I'll use WD-40 on a Frozen keyhole or to rinse a squeaky Hinge pin. But a more appropriate lubricant needs to be applied after. I have probably used dozens of cases of WD-40 over the years. Sewing machine oil would lubricate better.:)

Specifications and real world applications do not always go hand in hand.

WD-40 stinks. I don't know if I'd want to be smelling that when I vape. I have the HCigar nemesis and my button is sort of crunchy too if I don't press it right in the center. I tried removing the bottom wire spring thing and It was worse without it than with it. I just live with it, it doesn't get stuck or anything like that. It's still a great device IMO for what it costs, even with the not so smooth button.

Real Nemesis or a clone?
If it's a real one, why are you already worried about the switch? I did switch mine out with magnets as soon as I got it but the switch is the smoothest I've had. If it's real then you shouldn't need to put anything on it other than the magnet upgrade. If it's a clone then just upgrade to magnets or make sure the spring seats into the circular groove on the bottom of the switch.
Supposedly the small spring helps with conductivity but doesn't seem to affect the function.
Either way, just get the magnet upgrade and be done with it
