I signed the petition, and sent a letter as well.
However...
the original poster said something about it stimulating the u.s. economy.
The Government, and the people of the United States have no control over the economical state of the U.S.
The reason being is the Federal Reserve Act that was signed in 1913 gave our financial control to a privatized bank known as the Federal Reserve... which is not part of the government, and no more federal than Federal Express. They control the inflation and deflation of currency, make money out of thin air, and every penny that is spent by our government which is loaned to them by the Federal Reserve is loaned on interest. In principle, we can never pay back the debt we owe them. It took less than 20 years for the Federal Reserve, once in power to bankrupt the U.S. So we had social security... and basically we've been running on battery back-up if you will... an emergency course of action carried out since the late 30's. It will continue to get worse untill the Federal Reserve is either de-
throned, or they change their policy. The last time a president tried to abolish the Federal Reserve he was assassinated. His name was John F. Kennedy, our last real president.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
