I have been buying my PG and VG from Essential Depot. Just lately they are offering Soy Based VG in addition to what they they have always sold. The Soy Based is actually a little bit cheaper.

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to soy based VG? Is this any better or worse to use in DIY e-liquid?

Thanks,,, Cliff

I don't know what is used to make the regular ED VG, but soy is indeed very often used. E.g. all VG manufactured in USA, is soy and comes from a single plant, like which duda-diesel sells, or atleast that was like it used to be. The VG that bulk-apothecary sells, which many here likes and states is just as good as ED, is either from palm or soy, and varies from batch to batch. As long as the product is USP grade, then you're fine. In my experience some USP grade VGs taste slightly better than others, but it's only something I can pick up if vaping it unflavored. I've tried atleast 7 different brands btw and all vaped unflavored and "scrutinized" :) ...
