I have this question, and not only am I hoping for a possible answer or outlook myself, but I wonder if other women might be able to benefit from an open discussion on this topic. Little background:
I hate to discuss my personal health issues here, but I have endometriosis. Therefore, my doctor has recommended against any estrogen containing birth control (I was told estrogen feeds the disease) and I was also advised to limit my soy intake (not avoid entirely, just limit), as according to the docs, the estrogenic properties of soy could aggravate the disease...well I've read things both for and against soy for these very reasons but I like to err on the side of caution.
HOW EVER,
One of my new favorite vendors uses soy glycerin. So their VG is sourced from soy, apparently.
I know other vendors use palm, and other things. But this one uses soy. Maybe soy is common? The ratio is 90/10 vg/pg, so max VG. I see other vendors say just vegetable glycerin, I know soy is a bean...but green beans are beans...and vegetables lol so maybe soy is a veg and there is more soy in others VG than I thought.
Any way...My question is, and YES I know there haven't been studies and no one can tell me for sure, but can any one in the medical profession or a chemist or someone explain to me whether or not this is a good idea for someone with my illness? Maybe not exactly the effects of inhaling it but if any one knows what happens to it when it's extracted into glycerin, does it retain its estrogenic properties? Or do those go away? Do we even know?
I am hoping this is okay because, well, I really like this juice, and I have MAJOR allergies and in an effort to alleviate this I've been fiddling with ratios and flavorings since I started...and this particular juice doesn't seem to bother me at ALL. I feel fantastic vaping it actually. I just hope long term it's not a bad idea!
Any thoughts please let me know!
