Soy PG

I found a message on ECF for Supply Links and I clicked on one of the links for PG. The link took me to a animal store. I asked them if their PG was vegetable and they responded back saying NO, it was soy PG.

Can I use it and is there anything I should know about it that would be different from vegetable Glcerin?

Only use PG that is labeled specifically as USP Propylene Glycol. The USP part is important.

I agree. If I remember correctly, I think that the USP part means that it's safe for human consumption so it is very important.

That's an old thread. They show two different bottles next to the product description. One says USP and one doesn't. The description itself doesn't mention USP, so I wouldn't order it. It says the label may differ from product shown as well. It doesn't sound good to me.

There are many vendors out there now that carry USP PG. You can try Wizard Labs, MyFreedomSmokes, OneStopDiyShop, The Perfumer's Apprentice, etc etc.

If you have a local Tractor Supply, you can buy it there.

Differences from VG - PG is thinner, lets flavors stand out more but makes less vapor, and gives more TH.
