Before reporting, click on the users name and verify they are not already banned. This will help prevent multiple reports for same user. If it doesn't say "Moved On" under their username, as mentioned above, please report so we may remove them ASAP. Thanks.
What do you do if you receive spam in a private message from someone who is a member that you don't know, hasn't ever posted and that you never contacted?
What are you referring to as spam? Sometimes people who have made posts that I like or have a lot of things to say that I find intresting I will pm them and try to initiate contact with them if they dont seem intrested I dont pm them again. Is that spam to you?
No it's not like that but I don't want to go into it. This is something for the moderators to decide. Shouldn't I forward that pm to one of you moderator's to decide if you think it is spam? I think it is but I don't want to be the only one to judge that. The fair thing to do is have it reviewed and determined by a group to be spam, not just one individual. I do want to be fair to that person. May I send it to one of you, please?

When you report it, the report includes the message that was sent to you.
SPAM= Solicitation through private message. For instance, they normally send a link to a product or service, may or may not be ecig related. Also, a type of spam is a supplier on the forum sending information through PM without you requesting. Which is also an offense.

Just checked the profile, it says moved on. So no need to do anything further. Guess this means you already banned that person. Then I wasn't the only person that was spammed by that particular individual. Thanks, next time, if there is one, I will look to see if it says moved on first. But I still think that in cases of spam in pm's they should be reviewed by moderators just as they are in the forums. Otherwise, anyone could report someone's pm as spam.

I imagine what you received, is the same one several other people reported. Feel free to report if you feel it's necessary. We would never try to encourage you to not report something. If you're not sure, please report.

Thanks Joker. After I made my last entry, I realized that you had written something. If I had read that before writing mine I wouldn't have made the comment about needing to have someone look over the pm's that we are reporting, because as you said in your comment, when we report them the pm is sent along with the report. I was just in a hurry.
