Hello members!
Straight to the point. Can respectable members of this forum suggest the tank suitable for IStick TC 60W specifically?
I'm new to the forum, as well as I do not have much experience in vaping yet. My startig point was the famous Eleaf IStick TC 60W + Melo 2 kit. First, I was buying stock coils for 2 months, and now I've started rebuilding the coils for Melo 2 myself. At the moment I feel like I need a better tank. Googled a lot on the subject, but could not find any other specific recommedations for the tank other than Kanger Subtank.
Hope to get a couple of suggestions for the atomizer, allowing me to do the maintenance and get better clouds :)
Appreciate any help from you guys!

Best Regards,
Wadek

There are a lot of toppers out there, a lot. If you see a name, go to the RTA/RDA/RBA sub-forum and do a search. We have been creating a separate thread for products since so many have been coming out in the last couple of years. Anyway, good help to make a decision.

As an all-around capable RTA, the Kangar Subtank, Subtank Mini, or the Subtank Nano are flexible. You can buy different coils or, with the RBA deck, make your own. Many tanks have "personalities" that require recognition and handling. Coiling/wicking/juice adjustment/multiple airflows...The Subtank, is more main-line, and a good step into the RTA world. The old Kayfun Lite Plus was my step and the Subtank helped me further.

Its a bummer to get an RTA that just isn't right.

We won't mind making the recommendation, but we could use some more information before we do. You're using the Melo 2, and that has subohm coils. So, guessing you want to stay there, I'd suggest a Lemo2 for a single coil rig at least in wattage mode. I never had a lot of luck with my Lemos in TC mode. My current favorite dual coil tank is the Indulgence MT, and it's a powerful machine. I personally run it in the 35-50 watt range most of the time, but I know guys who have it pumping over 150 watts. I am a bit hesitant to recommend it as a first RTA to somebody, though. I can be finicky to wick well.

Hi @wadekone

You mean Kanger sub-tank? (not Protank). Protank = Notank. (in fairness)

I consider myself respectable (although I make fun of Vaporfi and Blu in a nasty, but totally deserved way) and like messing around with all sorts of hardware.

I think most people should own a Kanger subtank mini (just in case and all that... (FDA/TPD))
What about OBS Crius v2? Lemo 2 (already mentioned). If you don't want to go that high watts Kayfun Monster (clone) is kind of fun and I think we have Goblin V2 in the UK now.

I also have an istick60tc in my collection of mods.

Here are the three RTAs I use currently.

Kayfun Monster Mini my out on the town vape.

Silverplay Nano. One of the best flavor chaser RTAs I ever use. Easily on par with the Goblin Mini I used until I stripped the threads on the two piece chimney.

Advken Ohmega Nano a good RTA with a Velocity styled two post deck..

I also used drippers for a while.

Magma
Veritas
Nova 22
Freakshow Mini
Rogue.
Velocity Mini.
I got to try the Darang RDA as well.

You didn't explain how you like to vape.

So I will give you three lists.

Flavor chasers
Cloud chasers
And abbreviated mouth to lung devices

Flavor chasers

Goblin Mini RTA
Freakshow Mini RDA
Silverplay Nano RTA
Nova 22 RDA
Rogue RDA
Orchid v3 RTA
Kayfun Nano RTA

Cloud chasers
Advken Ohmega Nano RTA
Kayfun Monster V3 RTA
Velocity RDA
Velocity Mini RDA
Original Freakshow RDA

Guys, thank you all so much for the information provided!
True, usually I dig through the forums and search for a while, this time I thought to give it a shot and post a thread :)
Anyways, yes, I refer to the Kanger Subtank (my bad). Currently I'm on 0.07 ohms/45 watts with rebuildable nickel coil on TC mode. In general, I like the overall configuration, there's almost enough vapor, but I believe that single rig is that what makes me look further. And of course it's so much fun to do the maintenance of the device on my own :)
So to clarify on my question - I'm looking (if possible at all, maybe it's just my imagination) for the dual coil tank, suitable for use of nickel or titanium wire with Istick's TC on ~45-50 watts. Preferred color - all black. Allowing me to do nice straight to the lung inhales.

Thank you all again for the information provided. This will be checked and considered :)
My apologies if some of the slang is incorrect, since here in Ukraine we sometimes use kind of different terms, and I'm still a newbie.

No problem. A Goblin will probably fit your bill.

So, not the Indulgence MT? I've seens the review and this is a big machine. However, while my istick should have enough watts to work well with Indulgence MT, it requires some experience I guess?

I would say a Goblin Mini a Silverplay Nano or an Advken Ohmega or Ohmega Nano.

Two_Bears, I really appreciate all the tips and the list you gave me! My decision is to look into Kanger Subtank mini (as a starter), Goblin Mini, Silverplay Nano, Ohmega Nano. My only question right now - did you use the last 3 with the istick? If positive - will they work fine with the configurations from my post 7?

I also recommend the kanger subtank series (except the nano, which doesn't have an rba section of course). If I can get that thing to work anyone can pretty much. I'm still too lazy to make my own coils, but luckily i can 20 premade ones for ten bucks and a pack of cotton bacon that looks like it has enough to cotton to run 2 tanks all day for a couple months. Flavor is great too. I stocked up on factory coils when I bought the tanks but I don't think I'm ever going to use one again unless it's an emergency.

Thanks for the info mate! Me personally like making my own stuff, not to mentio the salaries vs prices in my country. Offtop, but I've even already played around with liquid bases and aromas, this is some crazy stuff)) Creating your own unique flavor with the main taste, aftertaste with a sign of menthol is just so much fun.

It would not be my recommendation for your first RTA. It's a very nice machine, probably my current favorite. But it is frustratingly hard to wick until you learn how. I would be hard pressed to recommend it because I fear it would put you off RTAs as too hard to do. It took me 7 or 8 tries to get the wicking right, and I've been building for years. Take a look at an Advken Ωega. That one is only a shade under the MT, and a lot easier to use. Also, the MT is really designed for very high watt usage-- the juice channels are big enough to drive a truck through, that's why it's so hard to wick. It would work well on your iStick if built for it, but you couldn't use it to its full potential.

Hey guys! Quick question - what would you say about the GEEKVAPE GRIFFIN RTA TANK? This was the one recommended by the seller. Considering the price, this one should be the quality product. However, are there any possible pitfalls I should be aware of?

Again, many thanks for your time and responses!

BTW, we already have a huge number of suggestions here for others interested in the tanks for the Eleaf IStick 60W TC. :) Great input.

Certainly worth considering. Will depend on what build you put in it. The Velocity-style deck is super-easy to build on; wicking doesn't seem too difficult from what I've seen. It'll come down to the wattage requirements of the build and how that will affect the battery life in the TC60. And do make sure that you're using a good 20A or better battery like the LG HG2 or Sony VCT4.

A Subtank Mini with RBA would be an okay starting point for your setup. Easy to build, though on the small side. But capable of taking single coils in the 0.5-2.0Ω range easily. Have one on my TC60, 1.2Ω build @ 16W.
I apologize for the question, but isn't that strange that you use subtank with the 1.2Ω build? I'm just curious since always thought that sub ohm tank should be used at the lowest ohm resistance possible, no?

Matter of choice. I have the older v1 of the STM RBA on which the air flow is not stellar, so I opted for a higher ohm build. Gives decent flavor but not overpowering cloud. I have run 0.5Ω builds in it and they were fine - not sure that I'd want to go lower with it though.

The Griffin is also a good choice. (We're blessed, there really are some nice tanks out there, and a lot of them.) On the Subtank, it's real claim to fame is versatility. There are bunches of coils, so you can tailor the vape. There's nothing the ST will do you can't find something else does it better. But finding something that does as many things as well as the ST is not easy. I think of it as the right tank to help you decide what tank (and mod) you actually want.
