Hello. I've had my Vision Spinner for about ten days now. New to vaping and loving it. I have the vision spinner and I usually vape at 3.8 v. I have a 70pg/30pg menthol ejuice. Today I noticed the taste was a bit off. More of a glycol, and less of a minty taste. I realized that my battery was set at 4.3 volts. I adjusted to 3.8 volts and the glycol taste was gone. An adjustment back to 4.3v and it was noticabley more glycol again. Back to 3.8 and everything is fine. Has anybody else ever experienced this? Should I change my clearo? I have no idea what ohms I am running, etc. Thanks in advance.

This is the reason for a vv mod. You can adjust to the taste you like. Everything is as it should be.

I thought the variable voltage was to get more vapor. I thought the ratio of PG/VG and amount of flavoring both adjust taste. Ok....well thanks for clearing that up. I think in my next ejuices I will go to a higher VG ratio. I find the PG a bit harsh.

To Me, the Beauty of VV is to find the Sweet Spot for a given e-Liquid and a given Clearo/Carto/Tank.

Every e-Liquid hits Differently at different Voltages. Some fruit Flavors I like to hit at Lower Voltages. Some Brown Candy or Coffee Flavors taste better at Higher Voltages.

I like to use Higher VG Ratios to make the Vapor. And then adjust the Voltage for the Flavor.

More vapor is a reason for vv, but certain flavors require different power/watt levels. Fruity flavors may not like higher watt outputs, but tobaccos and other non-fruity things might need higher amounts of power. Wattage is the value you're manipulating for vapor production with voltage and resistance.

Volts×Volts÷Resistance=Watts

Lower resistance will need lower voltages to reach the same power values. Lower resistances will heat up faster and will seem to produce a warmer vape. I've noticed some flavors to not work well with low resistance atomizers. I've noticed that all my flavors work well with the 3ohm cartos I use, but I get random moments of thinking that some will work even better with lower resistances.
