spinners / twists are they stacked batteries?

Hello all,

Hopefully a quick and easy question. The ego Twists and vision spinner type of "ego" batteries, do they use a couple of stacked batteries inside them or are they using a single 3.7 with PWM to obtain the higher voltages?

Boost circuit microprocessor, with some form of PWM (pulse width modulation). Not stacked batteries.
