Sporadically lose access to classifieds on tapatalk

The title pretty much sums it up. It seems to be 50/50 as to whether I'll have access or not on tapatalk. I figured it was due to the last tapatalk update but I'm having issues with this one also.

Any thoughts?

For the most part, we've blocked Tapatalk access to the classifieds as it doesn't play by the rules.

Can you try without Tapatalk please. Maybe use the mobile skin down at bottom left in the spin box.

It works fine with mobile. That's how I isolated it to a tapatalk situation. I figured that in this instance, there isn't much you guys can do other than report a potential bug to the devs at tapatalk (I own a forum also so I know how that goes. ). No biggie, but I figured you'd like to know.

Edit: I just noticed the blocking comment. Noted and will use mobile when shopping. Thanks yall.

Tapatalk started out OK for us, people liked it, and it offered a good way of access to the forums at a time when mobile technology wasn't all that good.

Gradually ECF changed and we introduced some more interactions, including forms for some types of input, such as entering items in the Classifieds. TTcouldn't handle that so it had to be blocked. That was OK as people could now use decent browsers in their mobiles, so TT wasn't crucial any more.

However TT wasn't coded 100% right originally and it meant that old versions of TT don't comply (with anything) and this causes a maor problem: current TT users are handled correctly but old versions cause chaos. So, now TT is on our list of major PITAs we can well do without.

It's a toss-up if we block TT entirely or put up with the chaos. Currently we're putting up with it, but the day will come when we have to cut TT, even though it has a lot of users. You just can't put up with a rogue app forever.

Completely understandable. I've had very few issues with it thus far on my forum (I'm sure I will when I eventually have to institute forms like you guys have here) but I'm like you in that if it's a PITA, it goes. I've axed a few addons and plugins that people liked but it is what it is. Haha
