    Take a flat screw driver and pry up the base of the spring.
    Use needle nose pliers to grab the pried up spring base, and twist the pliers clockwise, it should pop off the screw.
    Rob sells replacement screws.
    Your hardware store may have them:
    SS Philips flat head
    18-8, #2-56 x 3/16"

    snap on tools makes a screwdriver for working on computers that is the perfect tool for anyone who owns a REO.

    Having a high end screwdriver for small screws is a must for anyone, actually. The cheapie ones don't work so well.......and when working with small screws, that is how you strip stuff
