Walter Ego saved the day! Met up at a really nice vape shop, and he even had his Reo repair kit, so he helped me put the spring in. Nice to meet a fellow Reonaut! Thanks again, so much!

Bazinga!! God, I love this place.

Walter Ego - you, sir, are a star (and you've won the internet for the rest of the day; use it wisely) :toast:

so before I fire this sucker, look good? I read through most of the pages of mentioned threads, and as far as I can tell, this is the Mundy fuse.
Looks good to me. I did test mine by shorting it on purpose and fuse blew right away.

Spade connector. I've already taken it out, I mangled it trying to bend it to fit. Good thing I have thousands at work, lots of room for mistakes! There is a small hole in the flat side, I reamed it out slightly and the screw threaded in beautifully. Kind of awkward to get the battery in, but I did blow two springs
the other day and have none left, so this was absolutely perfect

Edit: I guess I got it at work! Home Depot or the sort will have some in the electrical section

Trout fishing? Did someone mention trout fishing? Where do I sign up?

Way off topic, but since you brought it up (or was it me?). ;) Lots of great times at Grimes Creek and others out of Boise.

I was born at a mountain trout lake (8500') that was the best fishery in the state, and raised on a ranch near it. Trout fishing/hunting is in my blood. So it could be said I’ve been known to whet a line for trout… as in all my life until the health failed. And I did whatever it took to get to the waters I wanted to fish, anywhere, fly, drive or hike. Had all my boat years fresh and salt, the fly rod years, but my favorite was always the wilderness high mountain rivers and small lakes. I’d hike for days to get to backcountry lakes and rivers, live off the land there for up to weeks alone and spend full summers based out of my camper’s/RV’s to do it. These pics are poor quality scanned slides from the 80’s, sorry. Would have to look for others.

It looks like heaven, Spydro! Trout fishing out west is definitely on my bucket list.

Found some more pics of my old haunts for you. I spent the last three summers before I moved to the desert in this area, most of the time between 9,500' and 12,800', hiked into and camped at many of the areas wilderness lakes and rivers to fish and for my on going Lepidoptera research.

Shut the front door! Are you a entomologist?

Look at those views! I may just side rail my planned next years camping trip to Maine and head west after seeing these.

Yep, strayed off topic, but once you start something you ought to finish it. My last on this...

I've been a very serious amateur Lepidopterist and Plant Biologist since 1960, am well traveled studying and rearing worlwide species for 45 years until I no longer could do the field work. A hobby gone wild. Professionally was a Marine Biologist for a time back in the 70's, another hobby expanded on. I grew up in nature, spent as much of my life in it as I could.

In the CONUS you'd be hard pressed to find a place more spectacular than the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness NE of Yellowstone NP in both WY and MT. The Hell Roaring Plateau & Grasshopper Glacier are must do's if you hike and can take the altitude changes. The Bearthtooth Plateau you can take an RV on Highway 212 (a Bicentennial Hwy) up and over West Summit (11,011') almost as easy as driving it on any highway. If not into camping/RVing you can stay in either Cooke City or Red Lodge, MT, or at the Top of the World Resort/Store on the plateau in WY about 25 miles from Cooke City/40 from Red Lodge.

ETA: For trout fishing the A/B seems like another land of 1000 small lakes/rivers, with plenty of them right along/near Highway 212.
