Well maybe square two. Let me explain:

I have a design for a mod that I would like to see become a reality, and by design I mean I have drawn a picture and know how it will function. My problem is I don't know what my next step should be. I lack the skills required to make it myself, but I don't really know where to start looking for someone to build it.

I guess I'm mainly just looking for advice. What would the process be to make my idea a reality.

Any help offered is appreciated.

It's a completely custom enclosure.

Edit:

Looking at my original post I don't think it explains the situation very well.

A little background to help understand where I'm starting.

Let me start by saying my idea is extremely elaborate for a first attempt, I know this. It's a mech, VV/VW combo mod, similar to the Vicious Ant Evolution. I'm not sure if the mod will ever become a reality, but even if it never becomes more than a thought experiment that I use to learn some new things, I feel it's worth investing the time to try and do it the right way.

I am a graphic designer, and a vaper. I got an idea for a mod and designed the look using the resources I'm comfortable with, Adobe Illustrator. So my "design" really is nothing more than a picture of what the mod would look like in its finished state. I figured the next step would be to do a 3d model of the mod in a CAD program, found FreeCAD and it looks like it should do the trick, but there are so many variables that I need to take into account before I dive in head first, i.e. threading, button mechanism, locking mechanism, overall size in both configurations, etc.

I just don't know where to start and would like so help, any help, tutorials, information, specifications for things like threading, etc.

Thanks for any advice. Even if it's just to tell me I'm crazy for attempting something like this.
