to ecf Macmagoo. So glad that you are here and are interested in squonking. All I can say is since I started using one six months ago, i haven't wanted to use anything else. Very easy to maintain. I have a reo grand and a reo mini. Not much difference in size. Here is a comparison pic. The grand runs a 18650 with a 6ml bottle whereas the mini has a 18450 with a 3ml bottle. The true advantage for me is with squonking, you always have fresh juice and the taste is amazing. There are several bottom fed atomizers for them but I have only used the rm2. It is so easy to use, even for someone like me. They cost a bit more, but they are built to last. Quality you can feel, made by a man that really cares about the people that use them. The reo people are quite a special group. I would say it is akin to family. As you have probably read, people who get them end up have more than one and the reason is simple. . . they are that good.

Good luck to you in your quest. If you have any questions, there are always some pretty wonderful people here that want to help you any way they can. Have fun and happy vaping.

You can't go wrong with a REO Grand, there are other bottom feeders out there but the quality/durability on less expensive mods is lacking while the price for some others can get rather steep. As far as affordability, reliability, ruggedness and value the REO is in a class of its own.

As far as atties go, it depends on what you are looking for. For flavor my favorite is the RM2 followed closely by the Cyclone. For LP Grands you can get into larger dual coil atties. The Odin is a great atty but has recently been dethroned IMO by the Nuppin' by pdib/ValHeli. Rob also has a nice selection of RM models available on his site.

The REO will open up a whole new exciting world of vaping, looking forward to seeing you around :)

I don't have personal experience with them, but you might want to look into the Vapage VMOD or VMOD XL. They've been around for a while. VAPAGE VMOD & VMOD XL | BOTTOM FEEDER MOD

I started with the VMOD, I still own two of them. They are great little bottom feeders, but due the the nature of the way they work, you'll be limited about what you can put on them in terms of topper. I used to use long-barreled atomizers from Kidney Puncher - I got a great vape from them.
I wouldn't pay full price for the VMOD, but they often have them on sale for around $50 which is a fair price if you want to start out into this type of device. Just one word of warning, the chassis is made of plastic and some members have reported cracking. Vapage have a great reputation for customer service though and most were replaced under warranty.

I also have a REO. I would recommend getting a REO, even if you find it's not for you, you'll be able to sell it on the classifieds right here on ECF for about 90-95% of what you paid for it. People know how good REO's are and they are always in demand.

As for topper choice, the RM2 is a great little atty. Really easy to build and work with, and it has a small chamber so flavor is great too. If you want other options there is a forum member that will modify other atomizers you may own to work with the REO - check him out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/581604-catfish-atty-mods.html He also sells pre-modified atomizers.

I actually just got my first Reo LP Grand with an RM4 in my vape mail today, and am so impressed with it. Not only is it a great vape but it combines the simplicity of my Nautilus/Lavatube, and the power rebuildability (I think I just made a word) of my StingrayX/MutX combo without the dripping. Even though I have had it mere hours I would confidently endorse it to anyone who is interested in one.

This will be my all ADV mod and I will use my regular dripper for a quick taste of my other juices when I feel the need. This is definitely one purchase that I have made recently that was worth every penny and probably would've paid more for had I known what I was missing.

Hard to beat a Reo with a RM2. Single coil simplicity.

You can also use cartomizers on the Reo, which won't perform as well as a bottom-feed RDA, but are simple and hassle-free. I use shorty cartos on my commuter Reo every day on my drive to and from work.

I also have a bottom-feed Cyclone and Igo S for my Reos and to be honest, the RM2 is a great vape at a reasonable price. The Igo is cheaper, and the vape is good, but I prefer the RM2. The Cyclone is also nice but MUCH more costly than the RM2. I guess what I'm getting at is that the RM2 seems to be the best value/compromise. It performs VERY well and costs half the price of the Cyclone. Is it as sexy as a Cyclone? Nope - but it works very well.
