I think I might go for a Reo Grand instead of the mini. After looking at them and comparing sizes I think I would be better off with the larger capacity for juice and longer lasting batteries. My zmax uses the 18650 batteries so I would save some money from the start. I go through about 5ml of juice a day and I tend to chain vape a lot in the evenings. I vape my favorite coffee juices at about 5-6 watts. If I buy the grand what resistance cartos and or attys would be best to give me this same level on the grand? I am thinking I should stick with 2.4-2.8 ohms. I rarely change the setting on the zmax so I am thinking maybe I don't need the VV to be happy. Am I on the right track here?

I think I am going to get the black and red Reo Grand!!

If you like the 5-6 watt range then a 2.5ohm will put you from 6.72 at full charge and slowly drop down to about 4.98 at 3.5v when it's about time to change the batteries.

Thanks Ratman. I just checked the resistance of the head on the vivi nova I am vaping with and it is 2.6 and I am right at 3.5 volts. So as long as I stick with 2.5 or higher I should hit the sweet spot I am looking for. The vv would guarantee I find the perfect spot, but I have that now and rarely change my setting so I wonder if I really need to spend the extra money for it.

Wow, I wish I could vape at that voltage with that res and be happy. I would go insane doing that. But if it works it works. Enjoy your new Reo they are the best!

If I vape any higher I get a burnt taste from my juice. I use 80/20 vg pg and some 100 vg. I can't vape juices with more then 20% pg or it really bothers my throat. So far I have been happy with this setting, but I am still a relatively new vaper and am still learning.

Jeapa, the grand is not much larger than a mini. You can't go wrong with either one in my opinion. The pluses of the grand are those you mention: battery life and juice capacity.

Additionally, you can use a wider selection of RBA's with a grand.

I am very happy to now have grands in the family. One will be my daily driver and the other grand and mini stashed in case of emergency.

What he said. Also; if you haven't seen one "in person" you might think the Grands are bigger than they really are (I know I did.) There are some photos here somewhere of comparisons. Anyway, my Grand with the "reomizer" and drip tip it came with fits comfortably in my shirt pocket with room to spare and if you have "average"-sized hands it's all 1 handed operation (except for the "squonking"; but even that's possible but for me is not "optimal.)

Thanks for the information super x drifter. I actually got a tape measure out last night and was comparing sizes. I think the grand will be fine size wise. I also like the idea of having a fully mechanical mod. Less to worry about and break down.

Norman, thanks. Pardon my ignorance but, what is a "reomizer"? Is it a type of atomizer? I am going to start with some cartos at first, but I would like to learn about re-buildable atomizers. I figure if I learn how to do that and make my own juice I will be self sufficient and save some money in the process. Thanks a lot for helping me out with this purchase decision. Now I just have to finish up my taxes and see if there will be any money for the vaping budget. I resisted pulling out my cc last night as I really want to stay on tract. A couple weeks waiting wont kill me and I can spend the time reading up on how everyone uses their Reo Grands.
