Congrats and welcome. I was so happy to quit a 40 year habit i hold weekly vape sessions at work with my employees. I had 10 guys that smoked. 4 are converts and one guy is on the fence. We swap juice during morning production meetings. I made the whole company vape friendly. Rank does have its privilages.
Now, we're starting to get spouses and friends popping in for the vape sessions where we introduce them to equipment and how to do it properly. What's really cool is there's a kid in town that owns a head/tobacco shop. I showed him my Buzz and my Sweetvapes Grip and the kid is looking into opening up vape sessions. This guy is in the tobacco business and was amazed that ecigs are so sophisticated. He's actually thinking about adding quality vaping products along with his expensive ciger and glass products.
I think this thing of ours is here to stay

Had a rep come in to the office the other day to discuss business. While he was in a pack of analogs fell out of his pocket. I took the opportunity and started vaping like mad right in front of him. He withstood it a while before asking me about it. He's supposed to be ordering his own starter kit now...we'll see.

I just love the look on they're face when your sitting there vaping your brains out and tell them NO SMOKING.

Welcome to the ECF and great job spreading the word. Don't get discouraged by people who reject it outright or try in and don't like it. It apparently is not for everyone, but even if one out of ten try it, it's still a win.

I've been trying to convert every smoker who shows interest by referring them to ECF after explaining what ecigs are/how they work. Most smokers are more curious than anything.

Though I did have my first bad experience last night at a concert. This redneck girl asks me for a lighter because she saw me "smoking". I explained that I don't smoke and that I use ecigs and that I had a spare tip (driptip, I always keep spare clean ones with me for the curious) and that she could try it if she wanted. She looked at me with disgust and says "Eeew no, wtf is that, who would use something like that". I shrugged it off rather than making a negative comment, I felt like taking the high road. Her cancer, not mine.

I've convinced a good friend of mine to try it, she's smoked for at least 40 years, probably a PAD at least and already has COPD. Concern I have is that she is severely non tech and I know she's going to have issues filling cartos and understanding how it all works. I got her a Riva 510 along with 10 boge cartos and some juice and filled a few for her to try but at some point, she'll have to take the wheel and do it herself. I'm just worried that she'll find it too much trouble and not stay with it. Can you buy prefilled cartos for 510s? I don't think she'll be picky about flavors so even if all I could get was tobacco flavor, I think she'd be fine with that. Hate to see her spend money on prefilled ones but if thats what it takes to help her stay with it, it would be worth it. Trying to spread the word at work too, don't want to get too pushy and turn people off either tho. Fine line sometimes.
