I got my SS atty in the mail 2-ish weeks ago, i didn't immediately use it because they come primed and i don't like the way it tastes and i wasn't exactly eager to break it in. now i've started using it and it makes popping noises as i hit it, i thought it might be over heated or dry but this doesn't seem to be the case.. i am kind of worried about it, i don't want it to explode or anything. the other day it made this noise and i actually felt it pop through my lips. it was really startling. since my other atty died (via car accedent  it was ran over) i'm wondering if i need to buy a new one ASAP or if i can safely use this one or hopefully fix it some how.

any ideas!?!?!!!

Hmm...got a manual battery?

Rinse under a faucet, get the ENTIRE atty (espcially the element) soaked, put the batt end of the atty in your mouth, blow out as much water as you can. Repeat 2x, dry off the threads and top of the atty with paper towel (you can lightly blot the bridge with toilet paper), then pop on a manual battery with no cart.

Hold the button down in 6-7 second bursts, allowing a small time in between for it to reset. Do this approx 8 times. You should be able to see the element glowing once most of the water evaps and the popping should stop. Re-do the rinse again, and repeat ALL steps 3x.

Your atty should be good to go after that. I've used this method to resurrect attys that have had juice baked onto the element and left sitting for months and months...works great for break-in as well.

If THAT doesn't fix the popping, call Tony.
