SS Mesh VS Silica flavor?

vaping for about a year on silica type BCC like the evod and protank. I decided to try Genesis style atomizer (DID clone) and so far what I'm noticing about the flavor is while it is kind of cleaner it's very different than silica. Silica almost taste smoother and more like vanilla. Where as SS Mesh almost taste lighter sweeter but no smooth sweet like perfume sweet and different not metal.. but not silica. I don't dislike SS mesh but everyone says it taste better but I'm not sure... is it because I'm use to silica that it takes better to me or if it's just the particular juice I'm using. Cotton candy from Volcanoecig juice is a very vanilla smooth cotton candy (best cotton candy made IMO) and it seems to be better in the silica I can't decide if I'm just crazy if I need to redo my SS mesh or what? Any tips for getting better flavor with SS mesh? I'm not sure what else I can do. I definitely oxidize the .... out of my SS mesh and tried half oxidize ss mesh but still not getting the better flavor that everyone talks about? Should I just get a penelope clone? What is a good silica RBA

I'm probably the last person to try and answer this because I don't like silica or mesh. For me silica mutes flavor but it's a smooth muted flavor. With mesh my juice didn't taste anything like what it's suppose to taste like and it was always harsh. People recommend lowering your nic level with mesh for less harshness. That might improve the flavor also.

I now only use fiber wick RBAs. I have found 3 goods ones that work for me. The Penelope with a cotton wick, the Diver with ecowool and the Reomizer2 (for bottom feeders) with ecowool. I would like to use ecowool in all my RBAs because it lasts longer than cotton and you can dry burn the crud off but for some reason cotton works better for me in the Penelope.
