SS316L burning throat sensation and very slight weird taste

I recently just built my own SS316L coils from GeekVape, 26ga 2.5mm, 6wraps reading at 0.4 ohm
If I draw for any longer than 3s I got this burning sensation on my throat and a very,very slight metallic taste. Is this the case for SS coils? I know it ramps up more quickly than Kanthal, but changing my draws (4-5 secs on kanthal) this much seems weird if that is the case.
Is this the dreaded dry hits?

EDIT:
After I did some research, turns out my the problem is in the wicking (not enough cotton), just rewicked and I'm back in flavor town!!

thanks! so satisfying to finally figured it out. This is all starting to become like rocket science to me.

trimmed the wick a little bit more so i have juuuuuuuuuuuussstt the right ammount sitting above the juice channel, wicking Serpent Mini is tricky :/
no more dry hits on 3-4 sec draws though!
