St. James Parish by River Bottom Fog Sauce (RBFS) available online at www.vapingwatch.com

The juice: A NET made only of Perique tobacco. The site explains how Perique is made; "True Perique is grown on a mere 16 acres of land in St. James Parish, Louisiana. Once harvested it is moistened with water, and compressed into old hickory whiskey barrels. Approximately once a month the pressure is released, and the tobacco is worked by hand to permit a little air back into it giving this tobacco a very unique flavor from the fermentation. Known for its strong, powerful and fruity aroma, which is the result of hundreds of volatile compounds created by anaerobic fermentation of the tobacco. Many of these compounds are responsible for the flavors of fruits and are often found in wine."

The Hardware: Mechanical mod topped by an Ehpro Atomic with 1ohm micro coil of 28ga Kanthal, wicked with Koh Gen Do cotton.

Ratings are from 1-5 depending on where a juice falls in an attributes spectrum. Only the last rating, "overall", is based on 5 being the best. (For sweetness 1 equals very dry and 5 equals very sweet. For tobacco impact 1 equals very mild tobacco and 5 equals very aggressive and/or complex.)

Sweetness: 1.5. There is a touch of natural sweetness from the tobacco, but overall St. James is a pretty dry vape.

Tobacco Impact: 5. I wouldn't call it aggressive, but it is a potent, powerful, and complex tobacco flavor. I've read others describe it as fairly mild but for me it's pretty strong, especially in the early stage of a vape session with it. Plus it's pure, very pure; tobacco is all I taste in St. James. The process of making Perique allows plenty of fermentation to take place, which adds a host of flavor notes that make it such a unique tobacco. Many describe fruit notes, which my palette isn't refined enough to pick up on. Instead I find it very woody, earthy, and... well... I find it hard to describe. There's a large variety of mid notes and bass notes in play. It's a dark, brooding, serious tobacco. There's no smokiness to it, but it does feel like smoking to me.

Vapability: 5. My experience with Perique is thinking of it as a special occasion vape to mix things up, or when wanting something kind of funky. St. James isn't like that for me though. I can pick up and enjoy this whenever, as long as I'm in the mood for tobacco it works. If I had to pick a single juice to vape for the rest of my life, St. James is a contender with good odds of a win.

Flavor Accuracy: 5. Brian, who makes RBFS, has a special relationship with Perique. He loved to smoke it, blended and even straight-up. His love for the tobacco is displayed fully with St. James Parish. This NET showed me how great of a tobacco Perique truly is.

Overall: 5+. I love Patriot from GoodeJuice so much I created a special top score when I reviewed it to designate it as a Masterpiece. The + is reserved for a NET that is not only perfectly made and presented, but also holds a special place in my heart. St. James Parish is the second juice I've reviewed to earn the 5+ rating. It's a magical vape that I loved immediately. I have no plans of ever ordering a straight Perique NET from any other vendor, this is my Perique.
