If I were to spend money on stabilized wood, it would be either a mech squonker or a DNA regulated mod, which is tough, but not impossible, to find in stabilized wood, which probably means a custom build for me. I want something I can use for a long time to justify the expense. There is the Yihi SL that's sort of affordable that offers a quality chipset as well.
This is why I decided to move permanently to higher end mech setups. Spending 100+ on stab doors, 100+ on an RDA, and then use a 50 mod that will be obsolete in 4 months? No longer the game plan.
That's a benefit I like about the mechs. Whether you take a 3 year old mech or one that was finished last night, performance will be largely dictated by your battery. Not by the technology of when it was made. And if you want to upgrade, you can always swap out the 510 or contacts for something higher quality.
I used 4 mods yesterday. I'm trying to bring it down to 1 mod with more customization.
As I vape more and learn more about what I like, I find I build all of my RDAs to the same builds I would use in a mech anyways. Gone are the days of 5V, 100+ watts, and a coil mass high enough to rival a WW2 submarine.
