I thought maybe people could post questions and answers about ss wicks here, to make it easier for the noobs and pros alike.
Now here's my question: I've made several lightly but fully oxidized solid wicks, and I notice that when in my Tiamat+ after a puff or two an air bubble comes up from the bottom (I'm running with the fill screw in). I finally got a solid unoxidized wick to work (by unoxidized I mean only where the coil touches was it torched), and no bubbles appear, as if it's "breathing" through the side walls rather than just through the bottom. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?
