Hey everyone. I just got my sidesho on Monday and am having an issue with it now I think. Maybe someone can help me.

First a little history...I've been a pack a day smoker for about 13 years (mostly newports). Got my sidesho on Monday and haven't picked up an analog since. From what I read, I was expecting to have problems the first day but it's kinda been the opposite.

I ordered the sidesho select kit from MV along with 10 prefilled menthol carts, 10 blank carts, and 3 10ml bottles of juice (ry4, pure menthol, and double chocolate).

I started with a prefilled cart and didn't really have any problems the first day. I was really paranoid about drying out the atty so I've been paying close attention to make sure the cart is filled and atty is as moist as possible.

Last night (2nd day of use) I started noticing a really stale flavor to the vape. It pretty much is exactly like when you smoke a cigarette from a pack that's been open for a few days. I really can't see how it's from the atty being too dry. I just popped in a brand new prefilled cart and am experiencing the same sensation.
Does anyone have any possible ideas or things I should try to see what the problem is?

The only other thing I can think of is that I'm getting sick and that's why I taste the staleness but I really don't think that's it.

Thanks for any help you guys have for me.

sometime you just get different tastes from juice from day to day. I dont think it has anything toi do with the equipment. Just sometime you get used to a juice over time and have to switch to something else. If you not getting a burnt taste its not an equopment problem most likly. This is why I change flavors a lot. Also with quieting smoke you taste buds are changing so that does have something to do with it. I hope you are happy with the sidesho. I had never heard of it till now look at the web site. its a M40x or a R4081? hard to tell from the pics.......but there prices are crazy expensive. that's what I HATE about venders who re-brand and then jack up their prices. and dont call the E cig by what it is so that you dont buy stuff from any other vender but them. I guess this is a good business model but it just makes me mad

Atomizers can get gunked up and bitter tasting
Carts just suck all around though they are better with blue foam stuffing (and I know Modern Vapor sells little pieces of blue foam)

Most people prefer cartomizers to atty+cart. Good cartomizers like Boge. If your device is 510-threaded then standard resistance Boge 510 cartos (slim batteries cannot use low resistance attachments).

Hmm, well I blew until pretty much nothing was coming out. Dripped 4 drops of pure menthol on the atty bridge (your supposed to drip on the bridge and let it drip down into the bowl right?). The first 2 drags I didn't taste any staleness but after that I'm definitely still tasting it. The weird thing is, sometimes more than others.

Another weird thing I just noticed is that on this cart which I've barely used, there's a lighter colored mark about 1/4" from the top. It kinda looks like a singe mark or something. My carts are natural color and the mark is a lighter almost white color. I looked back at the other carts I've used and don't see the mark at all on my ry4 and chocolate carts but there is a very faint one (much less than this one) on the first cart I used which I also used much more than this current one.

I feel kind of stumped but I guess the next step would be trying to clean the atty more completely? Should i let it sit in alcohol and then dry overnight?

Just dripped one drop on the atty and was able to take 3 nice drags before getting the stale taste again. I wonder if it has something to do with the cart. I've noticed that since I started using this that after a few minutes of using a prefilled cart or a cart I filled, I start getting a different taste so I pull the cart out and there's tons of juice in there. It just seems like the juice from the cart isn't getting to the atty like it should. I really wish I would have ordered the blue filler stuff so I could try and see if that would help.
