Standard RED led or blue/green upgrade?

This is not my first ProVari but I'm about to sell my V2.5 standard because I prefer the mini design much MUCH better. In past when I have ordered ProVari's I have always opted to upgrade to the blue led but it kinda got me thinking...is it really worth it to pay 15 extra for a colored light that you will rarely see? I mean you only see the light when making an adjustment to a setting and the button itself...while it does light up your finger is covering it and you are not really seeing it. What is your alls opinion on this if trying not to spend money you don't need to spend?

I could understand if it had a light at the end of the battery or something like the mini e-cigs do (you would indeed see that every time you fired off the device) but in the case of VV devices, that doesn't apply.

Kinda wanted to get some opinions before I purchase my mini

P.S. Is the red led a true red or is it tinted with another color (like the green seems to be tinted with a touch of yellow for the led screen.)

The red is not bad in my opinion, though for me it depends on what finish I plan on putting on my provari. For blue I would leave it stock black. For red or green I would strip it down and for a translucent powder coating to match the led.

As far as the red led, it is a true red color, not tinted that I can tell.

I have all the LED colors...
RED: True Red, very bright
Blue: The least bright of all the colors.. Its an OK cool Blue....
Green: A Yellowish Green LED screen but the fire button glows true Green...Bright but not glaring bright like the RED..
I like the Green the best of the 3 colors....

I would have to disagree, I don't like the yellow tint to the green color, it really ruins that "could have been electric green."

I love the green(ish) on the screen better than the button, not that I dislike the button color. Green is my color though, green is in stock and if they had blemed minis in stock I would be camping out at my mail box until it came.

You will love the Green even though its a Yellowish Green...just the right brightness

When I ordered my mini, I opted for the blue LED, as red LEDs are too bright for my eyes.

Now, that the green is available. My next mini will have the green.

I just bought a satin black 2.5 with a blue led, and a bronze mini 2.5 with green led...love them both! Color intensity of both is perfect.

The blue is really blue, and the green is really green.

The Blue is Blue but the Green is a Yellowish Green-Key lime ....... Greens my favorite.....

I think my eyes must be off. I don't see any yellow tint at all...lime green is a good description though

My Full size has a blue LED, and my mini has a red. I like the blue better, but the red is really easy to see in full sunlight.

I like the looks of the green, reminds me of a jolly rancher.
But when I bought my provari, I wanted it to match my memory of the classic provari i grew up with.
SO, I ordered a satin silver with red LED and its still my favorite device.
