Started with a Halo G6, thinking about upgrading. Should I switch to something else or can the G6 be upgraded?

I got a G6 kit a week or two ago. I am basically happy with the amount of vapor but the main problem is duration. On a freshly filled cartomizer and battery, I'm perfectly happy. I don't feel I need more volume of vapor or anything. I just want my device to continue to produce a lot of vapor for a longer time.

Im still a newbie so I don't mind switching because I don't have much invested yet. Should I go with a different set up like a Vamo V3 or Ego? What about the Halo Trinton set up? Also, what will be the difference in a G6 mini tank verses my cartomizers?

I do like the smaller size and while I know a big 18650 device would provide longer battery life, I'm not sure I would use it as much. I may get one for around the house but I think my primary means of vaping will continue to be the slimmer cigarette style devices for the near future. I like the feel of them in my hand and the portability.

Get the Halo Triton kit, or make your own. You can just get a 400mAh Triton battery a tank and USB adapter for $30. The 400mAh is small enough to easily pocket, and will last over 4 hours. I just got my first ProVari. Love it, but it hasn't left the house yet. It is great for home use, but just too big and heavy to use in my car. You can also use the G6 cartos and mini tanks on the Triton- just get a cone so the cartos look better on it.

The mini tank will give you more flavor & vapor & more flexibility in flavors you can use whatever liquid you like. That being said do some research because I've been there ,done that ,and I know you'll get tired of charging those G6's after awhile . The triton's are fine but they're kinda high priced for an ego style battery . Just take your time look around and form your own conclusions only you know what's right for you . Good luck .

I know I would like something that lasted longer and produced my vapor for a longer time but I fear it will be such a large device that I wouldn't want to carry it or use it as often. The cig size devices just feel right to me. Maybe after a while, I will go to a 18650 device but I don't really know what to order.

The best thing you can do is read and ask questions just as you are doing. By the way, Welcome to ECF, here you will find a wealth of information and an abundance of opinions.

If you are comfortable with the cig-a-size, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, too many try too many things too quickly and then get frustrated and quit trying. I would rather someone take it slow and become knowledgeable before diving into advanced devices.

The Halo Triton is more a "cigar sized" battery, but with the tank would seem much larger than your G6, however, it will give you extended battery life.

The Halo Triton is an 808 eGo type battery - the difference is there are 510 threaded eGo batteries and 808 threaded eGo batteries.



As you can see both batteries have the lower threads, those are the eGo threads.

Where you are going to get your vaping longevity is by the battery's mah. I am not sure what the G6 is, maybe 280mah, the Triton's come in 400mah, 650 mah and so on... 100mah = 1 hour, of course this is dependent on the vaper, everyone's results vary.

For me I started on a G6 and just ordered a Triton VV. Didn't make sense to just get the regular Triton as I already have 3.7 batteries. However I stayed with Halo because of the mass of clearomizers I already have that are 808 threaded. Yes I know I can get adapters, but wanted to stick with "brand loyalty"

I started with a G6 and went to a Kanger E-smart (808-threaded version). I like that it's backwards-compatible with my G6 stuff (except for the chargers), is only slightly larger and gives better performance and slightly longer battery life. The E-smart clearos work great on the G6 batteries and they're better than the "mini-tank", IMO.

I also have a Triton but I only use it at home.
