Hang in there, that is great! I have been vaping for a couple weeks and have not completely analogs but have gone from 30 a day to10 a day and next week allow myself 5 a day until the day arrives that I am at 0!! I am not complaining since or me is a big improvement in the amount of analogs I was smoking, however, I vape constantly and all day!!

You can do it!! Congrats on your first full day vaping with no cigs!

^^^ @Zbeast08 You can do it! We'll cheer you on! :)

When I started vaping last September, I set the goal of cutting down to eventually quitting the cigs, but didn't give myself the stress of "I gotta only have 15 today" or "I gotta put myself at 5 a day this month"....because, knowing me, if I set a "10 per day" rule, I'd probably make sure I smoked 10 per day to keep with the goal, so to speak. And that would've been a "have to have a cig" thing and that would've been pointless. So, I just vaped (and use nasal snuff) each day, and if I had the urge for a cig, i'd go ahead and have one.....then not long ago I realized I was only having one in the late morning and one at night. Since then I've been cig free....although I'll admit I tried a drag off a friend's cig to see if the taste had changed, and it sure did. That drag made me gag. Back to flavorful vapes and the confidence that I don't want to go back to inhaling the gag reflex smoke. :)

When I started vaping, I didn't think I would quit smoking completely but at least cut back. At the time, I just couldn't stand to say "I will never have a cig again." That's a hard term to think for a huge addict of cigs. I didn't think it would ever be possible anyways. It just happened that I didn't want cigs anymore. I think not having that pressure hanging over me helped alot.

It can seem overwhelming, but once you find your niche and what works for you, its simple. Ive learned a lot here, but I learned the most through trial and error on my own. I could have saved myself some money if I found this forum first. The only problem here is that some of the users are into high end, complicated vaping devices. I dont have time for all that, I just want reliable equipment that I can vape with. I use the Ego-T batteries and a C-passthrough. I have 3 batteries, 4 tanks, and a ton of juice. I like buying new juices the most right now.

I think of it like this. When I put car speakers in my new Honda, I looked all over forums and read reviews. It really toyed with my mind and made making decisions difficult. There were people who lived for car audio. So many people had conflicting opinions on which speakers sounded the best (die hard speaker and audio geeks that spent thousands on car audio equipment). They are intense on their equipment, but I just wanted a little bass and volume on my drive to work or when I go out. I didnt need bass that would shake my neighbors house. I got the speakers I wanted at a great price and they are prefect for me, I couldn't be happier. Same with vaping.............trust what is the best for you and go with it. You dont have to rush out and by an overpriced Provari because the people on here have them. Get an ego and tank, and vape away.

Here are the basics I heave learned in my time vaping:

-Eciggs that resemble real cigarettes wont cut it. They lack vapor and are always needing to be charged, but are a great start to vaping and to get your feet wet. This is how most of us started.

-Ego batteries are the best for when you want to start using tank systems. They have much longer battery life than eciggs. I like mini vivi nova tanks, which are easy to clean and reuse. Never had any issues, unlike with Kagner tanks. Passthrough batteries allow you to vape while they charge.

-Juice is subjective to each person. PG stands for prop glycol, and VG is veggie based. People sometimes have an allergy to PG, so I always use 100% VG. Johnsons Creek, High Brow Vapors, MtBaker Vapors, and Velvet Vapors are 4 reputable sellers I have personally used and enjoy.

-Voltage, ohms, and whatever are just annoying. I dont pay attention to it and I dont care. I just vape, lol. Do I look like an electrician or someone who spends a lot of time at places like home depot? I like to fill, vape, charge..........and that's it. It doesn't make you any less if you don't have a super duper brass plated mod vaporizer that can tell time, alerts you to when your dog needs to be let out, and can send SOS signals should you get trapped on a deserted island (with variable voltage settings). lol

I am starting off with 24mg and 18 mg of various flavors.
2 PAD 20 year smoker here, and that same combo let me walk away without any problems. I never even really had cravings. Occasionally I would briefly have the "time for cig" flash, but it was just that, a flash. No more than a brief passing thought. When it would happen, just to be safe I'd vape a little and continue on with my day. I'm 3 weeks in now and even those flashes are gone. So, good luck to you. Just don't give in if the urges come, grab your PV and vape away. Pretty soon you'll start getting a bunch of good surprises, like breathing better, better sense of taste and smell, extra energy and many many more.

I used to have those brief flashes as well, when I was vaping cigalikes. I haven't had a single craving, not for one nano-second, after I got my eGo gear. It really was a game changer for me. :vapor:

One PAD for 40 years. Been vaping 2 months now.
It does help if you can find an ADV.
I have yet to be able to find something that I can vape all day, every day.
So I just have several tanks with different flavors and find the one that suits me.
I haven't had my taste buds normalize yet but my sense of smell is off the charts! And driving me nuts some days.
    My advise,
    HYDRATE! Trust me it's huge.

That's right, Day 1. Today is the going to be the first full day without an analog in a long time (not counting the 3 days I was vaping last week). The only problem that I have found so far is the amount of information on the subject in these forums. If I read all day, every day, I would probably never catch up. I am just glad to have found my new home!

The key it's just finding something that works for you, the rest will come with time. It has taken me two years to finally settle down and realize 1) I'll never know it all with ecigs, and 2) with new equipment coming out everyday, I'll never be able to purchase and try it all. I've found a setup that works great for me, and after two years of constantly throwing money out there, I have finally found the vape and setup that I prefer. Congrats on making the switch and keep it up!

Congrats on your 1st day! I am one of the lucky ones that never had another analog after starting vaping, however if you do happen to have some, don't beat yourself up! It's the number you're not smoking versus the number you are! I have a friend who took 2 months to totally quit the analogs and go 100% vaping. Good luck and welcome to ECF!
