Hi all! I'm new to the vaping game and feeling a little overwhelmed with all the different specifications and modifications! I used to have a pretty simple one but the chamber with the liquid in cracked after a week of use..been kind of put off since then. Will this site help me? =D
Welcome :) There is a lot of stuff out there and likewise a lot of information in here but also a lot of helpful people who are happy to point you in the right direction. With regards to your issue with the cracking, was this one of the ones with a plastic tank section? Some flavour types are quite well known for causing the plastics to crack, there are quite a few particularly strong citrus flavours like lime and also things like cinnamon (i can't think of them all to hand). It seems like this is likely to be the problem you had, I would generally recommend looking at glass options to avoid the issue.

I think it was a plastic one - what is it in certain flavours that cause that to happen do you think?

It's just disheartening when you try and invest in an ecig and it all goes wrong!

Yes. It is.
However you've found us and you're going to get great advice on here. Plastic is disposable (most of the time) and we prefer more long-term hardware.

There are quite a few listed in this thread Let's make a list of juices/flavors that crack tanks, ce2's/clearos... . These are mostly specific flavourings as we can't know exactly which flavouring is used in every type of liquid, however you will see a lot of flavour groups have issues, particularly sour flavours, circus flavours, things with cinnamon, cola... and others. Normally good vendors would tell you that a specific flavour isn't any good with plastic, but some sadly don't (or might not know in some cases). Regardless, if you are needing to replace your current one, there are low cost glass options and with glass you won't have any problems.

Welcome to ECF and yes indeed the information on here along with the friendly people always ready to assist will be able to help you along your journey.
In reference to Tank Cracking liquids there are a few that must be stayed away from when using a Plastic Tank.
Not to worry those facts and others will be revealed to you as you browse the pages of this site.

I was particularly annoyed about this one because it wasn't cheap, and then when I asked the company for a replacement they said that they were considered "disposable parts" and I'd have to buy a new one. Except that they don't actually sell the replacements in the UK!
Exactly what is it you have?

Already I am worried for you. Is it a walk in shop? As I said, (on another thread) until November it's open season on customers. The fact vaping is going to change dramatically once the laws come in is encouraging bad shops to sell anything at all.

It was an online shop, the model is an Atmos RX. Their UK online shop doesn't sell the replacements, only US shop and then the shipping is more than the item itself! I haven't used it in ages though
And the part you are looking to replace is something like this Pike Cartridge ?

Atmos seem interested in 'other' vaping liquids. I'm surprised you even stumbled upon them. EE won't let me access their full website. Dodgy.
Their stuff seems to mostly be dry herb and other oil, but they do have some stuff designed for e-liquid from what I can see, not having blocking issues.

Hopefully if I phrase this right I won't be banned...but that was why I went there.

That's probably the right one, but check out the shipping...

The shipping is pretty crazy there. It looks like it has a standard connection on the bottom but I'm not 100% sure on that. You could take the risk and try something like Aqwa aClear RBC Clearomizer and see if it fits (these style ones can be had a lot of places for cheap), alternatively pretty much any shop will have these for starter kits, you should be able to go in and check that it is the same fitting and if it fits pick something up for a few quid.
