I have recently bought a few tanks because they are easier while driving then dripping. I have bought an Arctic V12 and a limitless XL. I bought the XL because it also came with 2 build decks and being able to use factory coils. The first tank on a new coil in either tank is great running at 100w the next tank tastes nothing like my juice. So I decided I would use one of the build decks for the XL and no matter how I wick it after about a half a tank it leaks like crazy. I have watched build videos for it and whether I wick it tight at the juice inlets or loose same issue it leaks everywhere. I have the limitless rdta and I love it except that it has to stay straight up and down or juice goes everywhere. Just really aggrevated at the whole tank scene right now.

Ya know, when dealing with liquids, there will be leakage more often than not. The only tank I have had no leaking issues from is the OBS Engine.

That said, I've had precious few leaking issues with most of my tanks once I have the wicking sussed... usually around build 3. That includes the TFV8 and XL...

RTAs, in general, are a bit more finicky than an RDA. A lot of patience in learning the best build...sometimes even juice.

A bottom feeding system might be a consideration.
Looking at the Frankenskull bottom feeder combo from fasttech.
I use the RSST dual coil tank... only time it leaked was when I forgot to put the fill plug back in...

and RDAs, always finding juice dribbles when I laid it down.
Well I know not to lay my drippers down. The XL is more than a dribble. When it decides to start leaking it drains the tank just all at once out the airflow.

I could handle a small dribble now and then.

Another vote for the OBS Engine. I own one and it cannot leak. It is also one of the best rta's I own. It is also available in a single coil version if you prefer. One of the all around best rta's out there and you cannot make it leak.
Not entirely true... it can be made to leak... a hammer, for instance...

I don't know about useless, but tanks lack the "ritual" of dripping.
Hell, my ashtrays probably smoked as many cigarettes as I did, but the ritual of lighting up was as important as smoking to me.
This is exactly why I love rebuildables. It's the ritual of building and wicking.

Yep. I used to love trimming my cigars, and slowly toasting the foot to perfection, or cleaning out one of my Meerschaum pipes and slowly packing the perfect bowl. Hell even the matches were specific to the ritual.

Now its building coils and perfecting wicking....
