Std 510 batts - large variation in stated cycles. Why is this?

So, while I await availability of a Reo, I am making do with some standard 510 batteries bought locally. They came in a cig pack sized box/kit with a battery, usb charger, atomizer, and three Dekang filled cartridges. The box states that they can be cycled at least 30 times.

I have seen other 510 kits that look exactly the same, box and everything except different brand name, and the box says they are good for 3-5 charges and they cost half as much.

Some sites claim that a standard Joye 510 gets like 200 cycles, but I couldn't find the claim repeated on the manufacturer site.

I'm sure there is more than one manufacturer, but this seems like a very large variation in a basic battery.

I are confuzed. Anyone know why the huge difference in stated cycles? Do basic 510 batteries really have this much variation or is it just a bunch of marketing hooey?

A good 510 battery can be cycled a couple hundred times. I know the ones I had were cycled 2 or 3 times a day for a couple months. What they fail to tell you though, is that the time they hold a charge starts to decrease markedly after 50 or so cycles.
The ones that state fewer cycles are just cheaper semi-disposable models.
A lot of e-cigs marketed as disposable are actually good for 5 cycles or so, but they don't bother telling you that because it's assumed that buyers don't have a 510 charger.
510 batteries vary enormously in their internal construction and grade. The cycle numbers, although usually somewhat exaggerated, reflect that varying quality.

OK. That makes sense. Getting way more than the stated 30 charges on mine and yes, at around 50 they do seem to lose a bit of capacity.
