I placed an order with them earlier this week and I'm quite pleased. They are located in Texas so they are around the middle of the country and ship times to anywhere in the U.S. should be minimal, and it was. Took three days to get my order in part because I placed it at night so it wasn't recieved and shipped for most of the first. I got myself a Magneto, sheet of mesh, and a 10 ft. roll of kanthal. Everything arrived in great shape except for two things:
1. My kanthal was missing from the package.
2. The fortune cookie was broken, but I didn't order that and USPS isn't known for great care in handling. Still a nice addition that I wasn't expecting.
So, you may ask: If you didn't get your kanthal why is this positive?
Well, I got a chance to deal with Lance through email as their phone lines are closed on weekends and I'm quite pleased with the service. He emailed me back the very same day and was very curtious. He did ask if I may have missed it and if this happens and he asks you don't get upset. It's a necessary step that any of us who've worked customer service related jobs understand. He even mentioned that either way, he'd send me the wire just in case he had forgotten it. I explained that I had looked around for it before emailing him and he was very understanding and promised to send the wire, and an unspecified bonus for the issue and my understanding asap.
So order with confidence people. Steam Monkey has pretty darn good prices, being the best I found for the Magneto shipping included, they ship promptly, and their customer service is friendly and helpful. I'd order from them anytime with no worries about how it was going to turn out.
