I believe solder would tend to show more, which may actually look good on some applications, but not so much on others. As for the glue, I thought about super glue. That may be a decent permanent bond. Also considering a thin layer of JB Weld on the back of pieces.

The screws may work in areas that have enough thickness, but I may be adhering screw heads only on some areas to give the look of being screwed together.

I still can't decide if I want to do a box mod first, or a tube style sleeve for my "oh-so-common" eVic.

Any ideas are appreciated!

You can solder and not have a lot show

Any that shows can be chemically treated to not be silver colored

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Thanks, and help yourself. I got started with brass and there was no turning back. I forgot, but epoxy putty is real good for joining parts that need to be structurally strong. I used to use it to join dual tubes together. Now I would probably do the same thing but just braze them together, with a micro torch and small pieces of solder. For sticking small parts onto something larger you can sandwich the solder in between and no one will see it. If it does show, you can also file and and it to look better.
