poland, and the brassy lands of google
The connectors I have are from madvapes. Unfortunately (several hundred dollars unfortunately) I had already stocked up on the madvapes connectors long before I saw the ebay ones from mobius.

I for one appreciate your selection of quality parts.

It is a good part considering what is available to us modders. I'm not having any issues with this connector on the mods I am using, but two people who have a Merlin have reported (one two weeks ago and one last week) wearing down of the first few threads of the connector and now they're using a 510-510 adapter on the connector in order to properly seat the carto. There's really no problem with using an adapter except that with the extended connector already there it does raise the height even more. So these connectors are also prone to wearing of the threads over time, especially with frequent on/off of cartos/attys. For a $7 part you'd think we'd be able to get connectors that don't do this.

Some people including myself have had problems with the threads stripping on the ebay ones and it just flopping around . Iv had to epoxy mine back in after the threads stripped . If you use them make sure you epoxy them after you screw it on to help prevent the problem .

yup, me too

Oh yea, I wear out any brass or other soft alloy connector in a couple months. The only connector I've come across that is bulletproof is the one on my ICON which is a stainless production mod from Puresmoker. The atty connector is stainless as well and after a year plus of intermittent use, the threads have not worn in the slightest.

I actually emailed the vendor on eBay and asked him if it would be possible to get those connectors in stainless steel or some other hard metal like chrome steel. Since I always solder the wire to the nut, I don't need the threaded part to be solderable, just the nut and center post. He said it's a possibility so keeping my fingers crossed on that.

Just got an interesting email from tehmobius, the guy on eBay selling those 510 connectors w/nuts for a great price.

The connectors he's currently selling are nickel plated brass, but he says he can have stainless steel ones manufactured with a selling price of $5 each which I think is an excellent price for SS. The nuts would still be brass so they could be easily soldered. I don't know about others, but I really would like stainless steel threads on my battery connectors. They pretty much never wear out.

The problem is, it takes an amount of money he's not willing to put up to make that happen. Would there be enough people interested for a co-op? If 20 people would commit to 10 connectors each, that would probably cover it. I'll buy 20 right out of the gate.

BTW, he also got a shipment of brass ones so they should be available now (they were sold out for a while). They've been revised with improvements as well.
