I like these big battery mods. aside from the all day long use, the shape keeps the mouthpiece off the desk top, so I dont have to worry about the state of what im setting it on. I use the vp2 which is similar to this but has a side button. I frequently stand it on end in between uses, just how light is the button push on this? Can you set it on end, or will it topple or activate the atty?

Hi. I got my Sparkplug last week. Not a freebie - I actually bought mine. I also have PureSmoker's Prodigy and Protege in my PV arsenel. Cyberwolf is correct in that the SparkPlug isn't fancy. But after the switches going out on both my PS units, I'm starting to think that fancy isn't necessarily a good thing.

I'll be able to say more about the reliability of this unit after I give it the test of time, after 6 months or so of use. For now, all I can say is that it does seem to work very well. Hopefully it will continue to be a reliable unit due to its simplicity. I didn't have to go out and buy a multimeter, tap on things or adjust things. It just works! So far...excellent device!

The way the button sits flush on the bottom takes some getting used to. And if you're a woman with long fingernails, you might have to trim the nail on your finger of choice. No problem for me though. I like it.

Great review. I was wondering who was going to get behind a camera.

One thing I can add to the review for anyone who has one, some Noalox anti-galling compound on the threads and a really thin coat around the button really makes a difference in the smoothness of both the button operation and thread engagement when assembling or disassembling the unit.

I took my button apart and stretched the spring a little just because I thought it felt better if it took a little more effort to push in.

I've got a 801-510 adapter and some stainless atty's on the way to try on mine as well.

A little mothers aluminum polish ( the wadding type ) also shines the SP2 up really nice as well.

Sorry for the delay in acknowledging your first review video, neighbor. This is my first visit to this subforum in awhile and I just saw it. [The sticky threads at the top of the New Members and NHaler forums will give you some idea of what's kept me away.]

Well done, Cyber!

The positioning of the button is not right for me, so I don't think I'll pursue it further, but the Steampunk Sparkplug could be good for many. It's kind of a less expensive, shorter, no frills Super-T.

[Unsolicited suggestion for future videos: include the price ($100) and where to buy it(shop.mcdonaldwebb.com.]

Hope to see you on the medium-sized screen in the future!
