What is a steep box? Where does one acquire this and how does it actually work? I have seen people mention that the liquid goes in the steep box for a week and I am very curious now.
I use a steep can. An empty hot cocoa container that can house 10- 30 ml bottles with a dark color lid so no sunlight gets through. I also store my stuff down in the root cellar.
Okay, I think I get it now. I was wondering now what is the best way to steep? Lid completely off, lid slightly on, or lid on bottle completely shut? Any advice and help would be great.
No dude, any place that's cool and dark, take the lids off the juice and let them steep.
Some people use a crockpot or ultrasonic cleaner to speed it up; but, I have know idea how that works. I'm happy just keeping a rotating of juice in using and juice in steeping

Ok here is what I do when my order arrives ....I take each bottle and give a good shake..... Then i take the cap off and give it a good burp (let out excess air bubbles) & the let it sit untouched for 6-12 hours & breathe... Then I put the cap on, shake well, and place in a dark cool dry place ( I use a cabinet) I then pull them out once a day and give em a good shake or I just forget about em till I'm ready for them.
My steep box is just a shelf in my office. I mix in amber bottles, give it a good shake for about a minute, then let it sit for two weeks or longer. I mix well ahead so I never have to use "un-aged" liquid.
