it's been almost 2 weeks since i got my noobie kit and juices... on the halo bottle, they had a mention of steeping... ya know... letting it age and whatnot... i have noticed that all of my flavors are getting darker by the day... some were pretty clear when i got them... i am also noticing the flavors are getting stronger too. after poking around the forum, many people are saying dont even bother with vaping a bottle that is less than one month old. they are exposing them to air, shaking them, etc. to break em in... so do you guys do that too? do you notice the differences in your juices that i am starting to notice? just trying to figure out if it's just all in my head or if this is a real thing.

From what I have seen and tasted myself I say absolutely. When I first heard about this "steeping" process I thought it was some kind of gimmick to make e-juice sound like a fine wine or some chit. Well.... I found out it is VERY real and yes the color of some juice will change over time. Some even say that's how they know is is ready to vape. I myself don't pay much attention to the color. (probably cause I'm color blind) lol

One thing I have learned is that EVERYONE has different taste. My wife's and my taste differ a lot. She can taste a certain Strawberry juice and I can't taste anything. So what I suggest is everyone should TRY there new juice on day one and see if they like it. If they do, then dig in and have at it. If not, then put it away in a cool dark place and keep trying it once a week until you like it.
I have found that there is one constant to all this "steeping" crap and that is NO ONE says it gets worse over time, only better. I have even had some juice that was horrid on day one and after letting it sit for a few weeks it turned out to be one of my favorites!

TONY, being you were a menthol smoker and don't like Truepure, I'd love to know what you thought about Halo Menthol Ice. Its my Daily.

As far as steeping, I don't bother. When I get my juice, I want to vape it and if I don't like it from the moment I get it, I'm not going to vape it a month later. I also don't notice the difference personally from the first time I use a bottle to the last time, even If I get a large bottle that will last a couple months. Maybe it needs to sit longer? If this were true, then companies maybe should age their stuff and steep it for us - like wine. If they're selling it, then I just kind of assume its ready to vape. ;) I will agree with the fact that it doesn't get worse with age though. :)

Well, my Truepure (actually NewPure, same formula, renamed about a week after I bought it) was so awful I've been gunshy to try any others from Halo...I've seen there were some possible bad batches from around that time, but I spent a month *trying* to like it and never bothered for a replacement. So, No, I never bothered with Menthol Ice.

Second reason being that as much as I like Menthols, I don't want something that's overly menthol/pepper-minty. For a while I vaped V4L Parliament Menthol, and increasingly found that too mentholy as well. Maybe that's why I'm into non-menthols now.

*shrug*

Edit: I just took the plunge and ordered some Smooth8...CRAP. Forgot to add the cartos!

Most juices made to order taste much better after leaving them sit. Taking the tops off for 24 hrs helps. BWB juices shouldn't even be vaped for the 1st month. By the 2nd its perfect.. Very complex and interesting flavors that need to steep. Ask any BWB fan. Vaperite Organic also taste better after a couple weeks.

Sorry friend, BWB is Backwoods Brew and Vaperite.com sells 100 vg organic juices. Both of those need to steep. I don't find Freedomsmoke USA or Vapesafe.com or Mister E-Liquid need to. I just sent off an order to bluemistvaping.com for the first time. Will post on those after receiving whether they need to sit or not. BWB needs the longest steep time imo.

...did anybody else notice the MV RY4 formula changed??? I just finished my old, possibly "steeped" RY4, and got some new RY4 in both 18 and 12mg, and the new stuff is VERY different. Is it just me, or is there a LOT to the steeping?

Maybe I need to steep the new stuff (in which case, I'm screwed. I'm already having withdrawals and can't let this crap sit for a month...)

Steeping definitely is the way to go I believe as all the different things in the juice need time to Fuse together, I put mine away and let them steep but I do not take off the top and let it steep for a day with the top off the bottle the way some do as Air i not good hitting you Nic from some things I have been told by a reputable Nic seller, oxygen is what makes nic go stale, so I steep with lid on.
