I've heard that you can't, however if you leave the cap off, the nicotine will oxidise. (downgrade / make it lower)
And the color will change due that.

Welcome to the forums!

Edit:
you never steep e liquid you age it
steeping is for tea not ejuice
What an welcome answer for a new guy...
You sound arrogant even if that's not you intent.

That's if you leave the nipple off. I have heard you should never leave the nipple off for more than 12 hours.

Yea i've heard about the same. About 12-24 hours in a dark place.
If you're storaging the eliquid (bigger ammounts) You'll want as little air as possible in the flasks your storage them in.

Here is Rip Trippers take on it. In the end, it all comes down to taste. Some juice I have is great for the first 2 days. Drops off then 2 weeks later it is great again. Good luck and happy vaping! Welcome! Oh, to answer your question, go by the born on date if it is listed. :vapor:

Thanks so much ~ what's a good average time period?

That i do not know, yet.
Most people say 12-24 hours with the cap of. Then just keep it in a dark cool place. And give it a heavy shake every now and then.
And give it some air time to time...

And for long term storage you'll want as little air as possible in the bottle. Not speaking about those smal 10-30 ml now though. :)
Personally since i've ordered about a litre of e juice i've bought glass bottles to store them in for long term storage. And smaller 30ml bottles to "refill" them as needed. :)

I wasn't at all clear in my reply, I apologize for that. I only leave the cap off a new bottle of liquid if it has an alcohol, chemical or perfumish smell to it. I do that overnight, typically. You can even give it a light squeeze without spilling any, to introduce new air to it. Granted, some bottles might be pretty close to full. If so, just remove the cap overnight. Leave it in a dark cabinet or drawer, safe from kids or pets.
