I have read a lot of mixed messages about whether to let e liquids, or e juices, sit for awhile before using or use then right after getting them. I would really like to hear more from everybody on what they think about this.

I had some e liquid I bought back in November and realized after I got them that I didn't like them. Many were not disliked because of flavor, (like Strawberry, I love strawberries), but because they didn't taste good. Three months later and I pull out the old box of e liquids to try with my Leo and behold! Like fine wines many had changed in flavor, almost all for the good! Has this happened to anyone else? I wonder why? Does it effect the safety of using the e liquids, in other words is there an expiration date on e liquids!

Thanks so much, I hope everyone is having a great day! vape on!

A lot of the juice will have expiration dates.I vape my DIY juice for up to a year old. When I make up a fresh batch I use glass to put them in and boil water.I put the glass holding container in the hot water till it cools down.I put it in a dark cool place with the lid off for 2 days and cover it and let it steep for around 2 to 3 weeks. Some people leave it shorter or longer. It is a personal preference.

You just never know. Some vendors will advise you to steep. I never have the patience to wait for new juice to steep before I try it. If I try a new juice and it's meh....then I leave it sit for awhile. I picked up a bottle of butter rum this morning that had been sitting there for a couple of months and now it's WAY overpowering! Like 151! LOL! So, if it tastes good, vape it!

There's no hard & fast rule about steeping but flavors will change overtime for a lot of reasons. The flavoring in the liquid will change, your taste buds will change, your hardware will change the flavor. I have bought and made (diy) lot's of different liquids and find them all to be tasty at some point. If you get some in the mail and they are good, I say vape away if not shelf it and come back to it at a later date.

I use an atomizer and drip tip to test-taste any juice. If it tastes good then I use it, otherwise it sits and I give it a vigorous shake at least once a day. Sometimes they are good after about 4 days, others a couple of weeks. Some vendors ship made to order and sometimes depending on the mixture they are good when you get them, or need more time to steep. I beginning to see that not every batch is equal. But I'm just a noob.
