Steeping makes flavor explode!

Has anyone noticed the difference that steeping a juice for say one week compared to one month makes.

Let me explain,
Love Almond. So only natural to make Almond Joy. I personally prefer my flavors on the lighter side and have struggled in creating the perfect recipe.
Steeped my last batch (60 ml) about five days and started partaking of my simple yet perfect recipe. (Also made a 60ml mix of Dill Pickle and Wizard Labs Super Sour). Went to town on the Almond Joy for a few days and decided to try the pickle. Man,I fell in love with this Pickle mix and it took me a month to get back to the Almond Joy.
My dilemma here is, Almond Joy has gotten really full (strong) flavored.
Any suggestions by the community would help. Should I make smaller batches, add additives like smooth or what...
