Just got an order in from fuzion vapor. This is my 2nd order with these guys. I was so impressed with the taste of my Unicorn Blood from the first batch that came through that I had to try a few more flavors. I have heard so many good things about the poison apple and also the gummy blood. Decided to grab a few sample size 15ml bottles of these. HERE comes the BOOM. Re coiled and wicked my Helios... Dropped in some poison apple and to my surprise it tasted like the cheap apple ejuice they offer at Mapco. I was a little let down per the Unicorn Blood didn't need any steep time for me personally and was SO JUICY AND SWEET right out of the envelope. So I grabbed my kayfun and decided to rewick it and drop in a few ml of the gummy blood and hell fire this stuff tastes like vicks vapor rub. Read a few reviews on the site and it seems a lot of people had similar experiences with these juices before a 3-5 day steep. SO I WAIT 3 days for my vapemail, and now I gotta wait ATLEAST another 3 days before my juice is yummy. Thank god for this Unicorn Blood and its awesomeness without a buffer.

SO my question to you guys is.... What juice do you absolutely love after a good steep, but can't even stand straight out of the mailbox?

Right now my Citrus Dream by Swagger Joose I think needs to steep a while..
I just tossed it in my new IBTanked tank, holy crap.. ewww taste, with the random decent hit. But I've had it in another cheap glass cart for a month and it's great.
So i'm going to let it sit for a week before I go back to it, I have another bottle on order so I hope it just needs to steep.

If a juice doesn't taste great out of the mailbox, always always steep. Since you're dripping, it's easy to wick it up for a taste in a week, another, etc. Sometimes steeps won't make a liquid taste any better, but sometimes it's the only way a juice tastes decent or great. If it doesn't taste good to you after a month+, there's probably nothing that can be done other than grinning through it or tossing it.

Yep. It was a hard lesson... like you, I eagerly opened my new juices and... ugh... they were awful. Steeping does work. But it may be more than a few days...

Luckily, one of my local B&M's (Blackhat, they're online too) seems to have a lot of vape-ready juice, at least in-store, and they've tided me over while I learned the ropes.

Does anyone have a preferred method of steeping? I take the cap and nipple off for two days and place in a drawer, replace both, Shake and then place back in the drawer for a week or two and shake every few days. I've never steeped before and wondering if this works or if there is a better method. I've watched a few videos and this is the one that takes the longest. Any tips?

One thing struck my mind when i read your post TS. That is 15ml sample.
In swedish shop, a regular bottle is 10ml for about 7-8$. And the so called samples are 5ml, for half the price.
^^

We got 30mls to for about 18$, so that's why i've ordered from yaeliq instead. 100 ml vs 30 ml it's quite easy to tell why ^^

Well, I can't tell you yet that I love it, because it's still sitting in the drawer. :( But the MadVapes Green Apple, when I first got it, tasted a lot more like Green Bananas. eeewwwwwww I'm hoping that time will improve it.

That's about all I do, based on my reading here - I try to give it a shake at least daily, but otherwise that's it. But, I don't have enough experience to say what actually is best.

i bought some stuff from a b&m called cherry limeaid. When i tried it at the b&m it tasted like a cherry limeaid and I loved it, hense dropping 8.50 on it. I got home and tried the bottle they mixed for me there and it tastes like cherry cough syrup mixed with furniture polish. I've let it steep for 2 weeks now and it still has this horrible flavor and after taste that it never had any of at the store.. Thinking it's just gonna have to go in the trash, it seems unsalvageable.

i have been mixing my own e-liquid for 2 years. i will sample small amounts e-liquids from time to time, but only use my own on a daily basis.
you can kind of tell what e-liquid are going to be trash even after months / years of steeping. if you get a long lasting soapy flavor that is a bit oily, this is common mostly in over flavored e-liquids. for example if you selected "Extra Flavoring" and it came out a bit soapy and disgusting. the only thing that will fix this adding more PG or VG.
more flavoring is not necessary better.

cherry is a bit tricky, because it is naturally tart. you could try adding a sweetener like Lorann Cotton Candy. or more PG / VG.
some vendors offer a sweetener you can just add one or two drops of to a squeeze bottle of e-liquid.

yesterday i took a 1 1/2mLs of it and put it in a 3 mL bottle, mixed in 1.2mLs of vg, and a couple drops of red licorice to try and tone it down, but it's still just so harsh and has a crazy aftertaste that makes me gag. it's very chemical-like. ^^ Soapy as you said above really kinda hits it.. Maybe i should try a stronger dilution.. Wish i could get it right..what they had at the store at the sample bar was so sweet and yummy with a little tangy lime kick at the end.. It was absolutely nothing like what I got.

you might try telling the people at the shop your situation, someone who is sloppy and cant fallow directions should not be attempting to make e-liquid from a recipe... sounds like product inconsistency to me.
pretty much every batch i make i take notes on.
and work with as much accuracy as i can. even though its only for my self i take pride in knowing i can create a very consistent and well balanced product.

It has been a couple weeks since I got the stuff and though I haven't vaped much of it a good 1/3 of the bottle is gone from transference and the stuff I tried to mix. I might not be able to get a refund or exchange but you're right they should know... I can tell the nic level is where it should be, but what if the person that mixed it messed up with that? It could make someone sick, ruin people's first vape and so on. I'll call them tomorrow, can't hurt

i would just bring the bottle next time you go, the may want to take a look at it. but like you said you would not expect an exchange or refund. they might help you out a bit in the future however. my favorite local cigar shop gives me a dollar or two off every sale, because i point out thing likes bugs and broken cigars (popped wrappers) if i see them. they try to provide a great product at that shop, people don't like seeing a bug crawling on a $25 cigar.
