I don't bother taking the cap off. Generally I'll try to let stuff sit for about a week before first trying it, but that's just me. I know from DIY that at least some simpler things (single flavor fruit, some tobaccos, menthol) are pretty much fine right up front, but more complex blends do seem to improve. My caramel capp needs about a week before it's really good, and seems to improve more over a couple weeks.

It depends on the juice I've got as to how long I steep it. If it's Dekang it'll be good to go since it was probably made months ago and sat on a slow boat from china for a while too. If it's a freshly made batch I'd let it steep for a few days at least. A week would be better. Some take a month or more to age nicely. So, vape it and if you like it you're set. If it doesn't taste good forget about it for a week or two then try it again. I always just cap them up and put them in my stash to steep.
