steeping requires a solid to be present in the liquid to extract the flavor from... as in one steeps tea.. the correct word for letting a juice develope flavor is age

I figure steeping ejuice is similar to steeping/aging perfume. The higher notes are not going to last as long as others because of volatility. For instance, strawberry flavors tend to be high in volatile notes. This may or may not be seen as an advantage while steeping. I suppose lemon would be similar.
Hi, I just steeped my SB Derailed for a week. What it tastes now is too bland, at first the cinnamon is too strong til I can't taste any banana on it. Now after I steeped, the cinnamon subdue, and I can't still taste the banana. It's too bland. What happened exactly? AFAIK, juices will tastes good after it steeped, the longer, the better.

And flavors are complex. You may be searching for a certain kind of banana flavor never found in your juice to begin with. I wouldn't be surprised that you would discover that banana flavor if you had access to the original flavor to test it before hand.
Then again, the particular volatile chemicals you're looking for; that became oxidized or evaporated during steeping, may be missing.
