It seems when I press the button on the P-10 it feels sticky. When you press it and let go it kinda hangs up for a sec and then it pops out after I let my finger off it....Any tips?

I've made that same mistake also. Now I always put a little dab on a q-tip and apply it that way to keep it even and not use too much.

Do you guys think noalox is even necessary on the precise? I used to noalox mine after its weekly bath but haven't bothered in a long time now, I just screw it together and all's good, infact it seems better without it. The threads are so perfectly cut they just glide anyway, am I missing something?
I modified a screwdriver a while back and that NEEDS noalox, I know that without it the threads won't hold up but my P16 seems to prefer life without the gunge. Sure I'm missing something though as there must be a good reason David recommends it

Yea, I feel the same way you do. I've been using both of my Ps without Noalox for a while and I prefer it better that way for the same reasons you mentioned. And actually, I don't really find a need to have to clean them nearly as often anymore, maybe a once-a-month bath at the most. I also feel that the brass screw on the switch performs better for a longer period of time without Noalox.
If my PVs were aluminum, that would be a different story but, unless there are some long-term benefits for using Noalox, I've come to prefer not using it on a SS Precise. I am curious what David's thoughts are...

I put a bit on the contact points as brass has a rapid oxidization rate, however, keep in mind, some are better at periodic cleaning. Others have reported to me that their brass oxidizes rapidly and i've come to the conclusion where you live also plays a role. I've sent units to Korea (brass capped ones) that the brass was tarnished by the time they arrived two weeks later. Also, the environment you use it in plays a role on how rapidly it will oxidize.
My advice, see what works for you.

I don't think it's necessary on threads, though i do like the feel of it. However, Noalox being petroleum based can attract alot of dirt and grime, so it does require periodic cleaning and reapplication if you use it.
Actually the brass contact points? The only brass part on my SS I apply Noalox is the base of the negative terminal pin. Not the surface of the pin or the 510 connector top or the positive terminal.
I just got another mod that Noalox was applied in the 510 connector point but the prior tutorials I saw said that was a bad idea.

I don't use Noalox anywhere on my Precise. I do an infrequent soap and water bath and that's it. For me, it's all that's needed.

That's what I've grown to prefer as well. And I'm happy to have learned that the use of Noalox is not essential for the long-term well-being of my Precise babies
Alright, I guess I'm pulling my Precise(s) apart tonight and cleaning them from Noalox. I guess the bit down in the negative terminal threading can stay, that's sealed off anyway.

I quit using Noalox after using it once on my first Six. It was a mess and didn't seem to help anything. I like my connections dry and they work great that way. Also, I've found that the brass washers and nut at the switch end seems to conduct a lot better than the silver ones did. My puppy agrees wholeheartedly.
