I have been hunting for Button Top Batts for my Provari for a while now.
I happened to be on the Orbtronic Site and saw this Hybrid IMR:

3000mAh 18650 Battery 20A-35A Li-ion 3.7V Button Top Rechargeable High Drain H-IMR - Orbtronic

I was wondering if anyone has seen these, if so, your opinion would be most appreciated:D
If you have them and are using them, I would like to know what you think about them. :D
I think that they should be okeedokee for the Provari but I thought I would come to The Source and pick y'all Brains, lol :)
Thanks in advance! :D

They're a bit over-rated in terms of current, but they're decent batteries, and totally more than adequate for a Provari.

    Look here as well:
Button Top 18650 Batteries - Lithium Ion Rechargeable

I'd have no compunctions at all using a Samsung 25R or 30Q in a Provari.
Thanks for the Link - I have a couple 30Qs and like them - I got them from Liion Wholesale but they had sold out of them for awhile so I was on the hunt for something else.
Here's hoping that I can get my hands on some more before Folks realize they are back in Stock.
Thanks for your Opinion on the Orbtronic Batts:D
I may try those too just for grins because one can't have too many Button Tops - they seem to be getting a bit scarce nowadays (for whatever reason).

I have three 30Q's explicitly for my Provari. I got them at Liion Wholesale Batteries | Li-ion battery/cell distributor.
Thank you :D- they were out for a while but now I see that they are back in Stock now, can't buy any until next Week, got my fingers crossed that they will still be there what with all of the Flashlight and Provari Folks needing Button Tops.
I was just asking about the Orbtronics as a 'just in case' 'cause it seems I'm always late to whatever Party is going on, lol.

Do the Samsung 3000mAh INR18650-30Q High Discharge Button Tops fit V2 & 2.5 ProVari?
    Ya. That's what I have and use. I have a 2.5

If it works then it's good.
The only reason button top batteries are needed in older ProVaris is because there is no electronic reverse polarity protection built-in. The button top is required to make contact with the recessed positive pin. (Apologies if i'm preaching to the converted).
The amp limit on 2, 2.5 and 3 ProV's is so small that it would be very difficult to find a battery that wasn't up to the job :D

Personally I would not go lower than a 10A CDR in a Provari, and there are plenty of cells with lower CDRs out there.

The online manual states that there are protections, including reverse polarity and overheating.

Hearing it is safe from experienced vapers put me more at ease.

    thank you guys!

With the ProVari Classic i believe there were different boards used (by design or in error). The P3 board does have built-in protection, the 2 & 2.5 don't. Hence the need for button tops in the 2 & 2.5. The reality is that anyone who can tell one end of a battery from the other could bypass the in-built recessed safety feature and use any batteries.
This is not something i would recommend but it can be done in the event that button tops become extinct.

I stand corrected - There are batteries with Amp limits lower than 3.5 but the built-in amp limit of the ProV will either shut down the device or show an error message if they're not up to the job. Again though, i would not recommend using unknown batteries.
The ProV was (and is) one of the safest devices made and it would take an almost wilful effort to damage it.

Flat top batteries won't work in a Provari 1 - 2.5 because of the design of the positive battery contact on the chip/circuit board. The button on a button top battery allows electrical contact to the board's battery contact on the right through the cut out on the board. Hence, flat top batteries won't work.

At 66.5mm in length, they're a millimeter longer than ideal. I'm only familiar with the ProVari 2.5, other versions may not be so picky.
