I am still getting the hang of things. I am ordering more supplies so I dont run out and have to wait for an order...

I am wondering what voltage my Joye eGo battery is and what atomizers to order for it? I see their are Bauway 510 Atomizer 2.5 ohms, Low Resistance 510 Spare Atomizer, regular 510 spare Atomizers and even an eGo atomizer?

Which can I order? Which should I order? Whats the difference?

Can someone please either give me a quick run down on these or point me to some links to read up on them (I wasn't able to find an exact answer by a search)

Thanks. 6

Your 510 or Ego battery is 3.7v and the standard atomizer is 2.5 ohms. Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. is a sparse site but the info is there if you click "more info" next to the product description. Order those descriptions and you will get what you had in your original 510 kit. Carts come prefilled or empty. Prefilled may mean Marlboro or whatever their standard is and empty means it just has the polyfill inside but no juice (ready to drop in your choice of juice).

I'd stick with Njoye or Janty (who makes the atomizers for Njoye). Most suppliers have a message box in the order routine so that you can tell them in plain language what you want. If it's not clear they will call or email you if you leave contact info. They are all pretty good at working with the customer. They want to get it right so that they don't have to straighten out a mess later.

Low resistance atomizers may be too heavy for a 510 battery. They draw more current and reduce battery life. If you decide to try low resistance, do it with an Ego battery.

Go here when you get a chance and read up. It's all there. Make sure you read "The Wonderful World of vaping" (6 parts).

What the actual voltage output of the eGo battery is and whether it's a useful number vis-a-vis its voltage under load has been debated ad nauseum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/jantyworld/91001-ego-voltage.html

My take on it is that all you need to know here and now is that the eGo battery is rated at 3.7V, 650mAh, which permits you the safe option of using an LR atty, the effect of which is a greater amount of current flowing to your atty--which means more heat, greater vapor production, shorter battery life and replacing your attys a little more often because they simply don't last as long as a standard atty. Which atty is for you is something only you can decide; A lot of people swear by LRs, but they're too hot for a lot of other people.

Brand names that I've personally had luck with are genuine Joye (think genuine GM), EM (EastMall) or Volcano Magma.

By the way, the one you saw described as an eGo atty is simply another way of saying 510 atty.

Would the effects of using an LR atty/carto also include better throat hits? I'm considering trying some LR cartos for that reason.

An LR carto will give everything a boost, of course. My own experience with one wasn't to my taste (way, way too hot; it actually blistered my lips). It could be I just had an inferior make & model.

LR is an acronym (there's lots of acronyms in use with vaping) meaning Low Resistance. They vary from one to the next, but they're all in the 1.5 ohm neighborhood.

Standard attys will also vary, but they all gather at or near the 2.5 ohm mark

What you're talking about regarding "larger eGo cartridges" is the Mega atty and Mega cartridge: Janty World - Review of the big eGo atomizer & cart - Janty World | Janty World. It's a longer cartridge that holds more juice, and an atty with a longer barrel to accommodate it.
