I enjoy several tea blends from Ahlusion. I believe he extracts the flavors from actual tea leaves. Some claim he makes the best teas in the business. I certainly agree that they are darned good.

On the flip side. Slim's ejuice, a discount vendor, has black tea on the menu and will ad any flavor to it that you wish. Most vendors don't offer straight up tea and usually blend it with a fruit, vanilla, caramel, peach, cream, etc to take away the bitterness/dryness of straight tea. That said, it only takes a small amount of fruit to overpower the more subtle flavor of tea so don't request too much of something else with your tea if there is a customization option. I ordered black tea from Slim's with just a touch of caramel and pear, at my request, and it is fantastic. Ahlusion has had that combo in their line up as well and it's very popular, though a little heavy on the pear IMO. Tastes vary so maybe you won't even like it, but I sure do and a lot of other tobacco loyal ECF members have also added teas to their rotation.

I few months ago I decided to take my fav tea leaves ( Earl Grey, strong black tea ) I did my thing with it and decided to taste it , YUCK.... Strong and gross .... I diluted it and tried it after it sat in my fridge for a few months and its wonderful. I like it straight and I like it with a suggestion of a flavor apprentice flavor called mojito ( lemon and mint ) really like it, I make it real light.

I just can't find a non-tobacco based flavor I can vape normally other than menthol.

Anyone else?
Am I a vaping weirdo?
Should I get a stamp on my forehead to warn people off???

What difference does it make? You quit (I assumed) smoking!

After 6 and a half years I am still using just tobacco flavors, actually just one - double RY4 at 5%.

Yeah, whats the difference? Is there a stigma I did not know about when it comes to flavors?

I think there is still a stigma associated with tobacco that needs to be looked at. Even among vapers?

Its the nicotine we want and crave and enjoy. Like its been said many times , nicotine=stimulant or caffeine( coffee, black/ green tea )=stimulant

Tobacco to most of the world equals bad.... Tobacco is technically a vegetable like many other greens it contains nicotine. People dont demonize potatos or egglants because most people dont use tobacco leaves in a salad or other dish.

So we just have to deal with the fact that its going to take a few generations for people to stop thinking tobacco and the evils of smoking.
Till then we have to accept that our eliquid IS a tobacco product. When people find a way to extract nic from the other vegetables maybe the controversy might lighten up a bit.( if that does happen, you can bet it will cost a LOT more)

People will demonize vaping because the liquid might be ingested and harm someone. Some will look at us with disapproval and scorn if they see an eliquid in our home where there are kids and pets. These same people probably have coffee and booze in their home as well as a myriad of household products that can kill too.

I guess we are supposed to keep nicotine containing products and all the other dangerous items in a safe with lock and key because technically they are just as dangerous as a gun.

WHewww, there is my rant..... Sorry but had to let it out.

You know when I feel like that? When I go into vape shops. Every vape shop near me has almost nothing but fruit type flavors. Their line usually includes no more than a handful of tobacco flavors - and NONE of them carry a cigar flavor which is almost exclusively what I vape. I buy online for that reason and I'm getting my first diy supply tomorrow in the mail. It's become so difficult to find something I like that I've resorted to making it myself. You're not alone but we're outnumbered for sure.

I'm three months away from three years vaping and I still vape some kind of tobacco eliquid every day. The only thing that has changed is I no longer crave straight tobacco flavors or flavors that have an ashy taste like a burning cigarette. (Which there are really not too many of these days anyway) Honestly though, I no longer associate "tobacco" flavors with smoking. They just work for me. They don't become cloying, aren't icky sweet or rich, and are just overall satisfying as a vape. I have always kept a few fruit and desert flavors on hand but they only serve as spot vapes and a change of pace. I always go back to my tobaccos for day to day vaping. Everyone h
as their own tastes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. One thing I have discovered that gives me the same satisfaction as tobacco juices from time to time are tea flavors. They give me a similar taste experience as tobacco juices but are different enough to be a nice change.

I wouldn't want a juice that tastes like ashtray either and I love a good tea flavor, but those are hard to come by, especially in my local shops.

It's just a flavor. If it satisfies you, there's no need to question it. I vape all sorts of tastes now, but there are still occasions when the tobacco flavor scratches the itch for me.

I do not doubt what I like one bit, I'm assuming it by starting this thread. I'm glad to see I'm not alone on this. Too many discussions about fruit flavors and not enough good tobacco flavors in comparison with all the deserts and candy juices made me think tobacco juice users might be going extinct... doesn't seem so with the speed this thread grew overnight :)

To the OP:
No, you're not a weirdo.
You're enjoying what you're vaping (I assume), and it's keeping you off of analogs.
Vape away, and enjoy...:thumb:

Thanks. The more I vape and the more I realize anything that does not have a tobacco component to it is just not for me :)

Don't get me wrong: I don't really think there's a stigma about vaping tobacco flavors (yet), but I am still a bit shocked at how few juices are just some tobacco flavor compared to all the candies, lizards and bacon juices out there. Now I know I'm not the only one.

You know when I feel like that? When I go into vape shops. Every vape shop near me has almost nothing but fruit type flavors. Well said. I usually stop at every shop on my route so I can find a better tobacco. I'm pretty well set at the moment, but there's always some room for improvement. What hits me the most is that their potential clients are smokers and they don't offer more tobacco type juices... hello??

And in response to Andria (forgot to include your post in the catching up frenzy) : For me the tobacco taste is a must, but I'm still not a big fan of the sweet tobaccos (except for black cherry ones). I also like how the vapor from tobacco juices make my mouth feel more filled, like with actual smoke. And the TH... well it's hard to beat too unless you want a Pepsi/Coke or lemonade type of throat hit. It's just not the same...

I've found myself, say in the past 2 weeks, going back to the tobacco flavors I vaped when I first started 2 years ago. (I still had a couple of half full bottles of different Halo and Goodejuice tobacco flavors) and REALLY enjoying them!

I forgot how good they tasted! Would I stock up on them again? Probably not, but I would definitely buy a bottle or two of Halo Torque 50-whatever just to have around for an every now and again thing.

As a matter of fact, I just loaded up my Reo with Goodejuice's "Full Throttle" and it's mighty tasty!

The chances of you finding tasty well crafted teas and tobaccos in a local vape shop are pretty small. Go online and order some samples my friend. Once you sample a few from companies like Heather's Heavenly Vapes, Ahlusion, NET dot com, Halo, and a bunch of others, you'll never touch local vape shop juices again.

So hard to come by a good RY4 with all the imitations nowadays... any suggestions on brands?

I extract and mix my own but for a retail juice Mr. Vape "RY4" is one of the best if you're looking for a more traditional RY4 flavor. Vapor talk "Dulcis" is a different, but tasty, take on the RY4 as is NET.com "tRY4", and Charlie Noble Admiral reserve "Pistachio RY4". There is a huge thread that reviews/discusses retail RY4 flavors in great detail, this link should get you there https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/posts/3345086/ Page 288 has the last comprehensive listing/ratings https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/f...y4-roundup-long.193327/page-288#post-15997348
