hey guys. I'm extremely interested in the stingray clone (tobeco version from 101vape). I've heard from a couple different places that it will not work with efest batteries do to the contacts on the fire button being on the sides and not in the middle, therefore contacting the plastic wrap on the battery and not the metal center. has anyone else experienced this issue? has anyone been successful using efest batteries in a stingray clone? thanks guys

I have the tobeco clone and the efest batteries work only when you place them upside down so that the buttonish part contacts the switch. It's a mech mod so not a problem unless you're OCD.

ok thank you. i understand having the battery button down won't cause any functional problems but does it cause any annoyances? like does it cause battery rattle or misfires?

No, when you assemble the mod you'll flush everything up starting with your atomizer. The stingray has a floating center pin!

Also it's good to take apart the switch and work with to set up a very short throw. This helps snug the switch up to the mod and eliminates any wobble the mod might have. If your switch is a bit crunchy a touch of lubricant will help along with just breaking it in.
