If the center pin does not protrude from the bottom of the atomizer it's not safe to use..that center pin needs to protrude beyond the threaded sleeve to make contact with the battery terminal without the surrounding sleeve also making contact (creates a dead short)

Also, if the atomizer has an adjustable center pin BE SURE when it's turned out far enough to use that it is in fact stable there and does not wobble---or again..dead short.

The Stingray X has a floating pin in the top cap. Take the switch off, or at least loosen it. Screw your atty into the top cap first until its flush. Then put in the battery, and finally the switch. I've never had an atty not sit flush, not even the magma.
It really is this simple.

Exactly the info. I was looking for, thanks!! I just bought the Dragon Zodiac "El Sigilo", SS Torched Edition, by Wu Tang House of Mods and was trying to grasp the concept of the hybrid connection. I was thinking all along that there would be a dead short if the flush +pin to the atty and the threads around it both made contact with the battery. Appreciate the info. Love E-Cig Forum!!:thumb:
