Unbelievable. If you knew me in real life I always had a cigarette in my hand. I loved smoking. It never really affected me like it would some people. I could play raquetball, golf or run with a cigarette in my mouth like it was nothin. I lifted weights for years and years and was a total health nut but i would smoke while working out at home. Weird I know but this nicotine delivery system (vaping) is unbelievable. Ive tried everything, the gum, the patch, even chantix for a while and nadda. I remember having 3 patches on at the same time with a cig in my mouth. The weirdest part about all of this is, when im having a nic fit, i take a vape or 2 and i could feel the effects of the nicotine hitting my blood stream and its gone. My kids cant believe it, the wife cant believe it. I made the garage a smoking room and even blasted a vent out there to heat it for me. I would bump into myself going back and forth to have a smoke. I always figured i'd be smoking at my own funeral and today, i threw away the ash trays in the garage. freaking hilarious. The biggest test came today when a buddy stopped by who smokes and when i smelled smomeone having a cig i had to light one up..thats just how it was. I didnt even flinch while he was smoking, i took a few vapes and that was that. This is by far the best nicotine delivery system ever. I only wish I found out about it sooner. So much has happened in the last week, yeah i spent a whole bunch of money figuring stuff out but now with 2 vamos, probably 40 different carts, a few tanks and all other kinds of gear im set for a while. I really learned a lot from this forum. I lurked for a long time before i dove in. All i can say to all you other noobs is you'll learn real fast and youtube is your friend. Props to all you people here that help people. Props to you all.

p.s. I do think its hilarious that now it feels like im smoking a grape or a watermelon or a a piece of butterscotch if i want to and get the same affects as an analog. unbelievable

Congrats xorgo, you sound just like me. I enjoyed smoking, I smoked a lot, and I didn't want to quit. That was the sole reason previous attempts to quit never worked. When I started getting serious about vaping, I never looked back. Don't need the analogs anymore, though I do cheat now and again while out drinking with friends. Not cuz I need to, but because I want to. Like others have said, it's still a big victory going from 2 packs a day to maybe a cig a week.

So funny! I was a smoker that ran everyday. I'd sneak in the woods or behind a tree for a smoke. Crazy!

I smoked for 40 years then a close friend bought a clearomiser kit and let me try it.
A week later I bought a starter kit (£20 for battery, clearomiser, usb charger and 10ml liquid) hadn't thought about quitting but haven't smoked since.
Vaping is magic, best thing since sliced bread.
Wish it had been invented years ago.

It is magic. When you look at it in tech terms its just a different nicotine delivery system. Thats all it is. Just a nice clean pleasant system.

Welcome and I agree, I loved smoking 100% you would never catch me without a lit one between my fingers. Now you'll never catch me without my iSeason or Vamo. The weird thing is, the one time I did try a cigarette (a few months in) it tasted disgusting and was completely unsatisfying (The reason being I had left my eGo at home and didn't plan on being gone the four hours I was).

Ok, that made me laugh out loud! Congratulations and welcome to ECF!! I do know how you feel - 18 years I've been smoking, tried a mall kiosk type cig last July, that didn't work - bought my ego kit in January, lurked here, ordered some juice, didn't like it, tried some more, it was much better - didn't really intend to quit. But, ran out of cigs one Sunday morning and didn't want to leave my cozy house. So, filled up the e-cig and more than 2 weeks later, here I am - no desire for a cig. Before that I tried the patch (multiple times), the gum, zyban, cold turkey..... this time it's been almost a delight to quit. Way to go and happy vaping!

Heh. I can top both you guys.

I used to sneak out of the gym to smoke all the time - and more often than not I'd get out there and find that my trainer had beat me to it!

I used to do long distance running (competitively) and the 1st thing I did was light a cig once I hit that finish. I'd pull it out and have it in hand before the sprint at the end. Obviously that only lasted a few years and it caught up with me. (Pack a day smoker)

Now I enjoy the options of vaping (different flavors depending on my mood) and am starting to feel like I could do those long runs again without feeling like I have a million needles in my lungs. I think the freedom of vaping combined with all the choices out there make it a much more viable alternative to smoking.

Personally I find it much more enjoyable in that I can choose what I want and how much of it I want and know for the most part whats in it. It's a second leash on an old habit with far more customization to my personal tastes.

When is the last time you emailed a tobacco company and told them I would like 100% tobacco leaves at 15% nicotine with no arsenic or cyanide and they delivered that to you?

Congrats!! I understand totally! I used to get so irritated that whenever someone took a photo I was always smoking! I always had one no matter what I was doing. If I went & got my workout on I was ready to light up before I made it out the door. Seems so funny now looking back.

omg yes every time I went for a walk I would have to bring my cigarettes, and I'd get winded and take a break halfway through to sit down and smoke :( so outta shape lol
