Optimum would be brown glass bottles topped up to the rim. So there's no airspace and hence no air left to react with the nicotine. Lab sealant foil, airtight closure - keep in a cool dark place and that stuff might even outlast you :) ...

In the latter case a good label (including the usual health warnings) on the bottle will help keeping your heirs from joining you prematurely, and will also greatly aid future archeologists to determine what they've dug up ;)

there is no reason to transfer the liquid from HDPE to glass if you're going to keep it in the fridge anyway, in fact i would advise against it. The place i buy my liquids from sends out 1l HDPE bottles that are sealed with foil and nuked, if i were to open it i would just risk introducing bacteria into the sterile liquid.

Yeah thinking about it why the need of brown glass bottles if there is no light in the fridge/freezer.
(Thats atleast my understanding of brown glassbottles - to shield the solution from light)
