I have a used Provari on the way (if USPS will deliver it one day) that I wanted to have some batteries here ready for. I ended up purchasing 3 18350s from the nice people over at RTD, an i4 charger, and a 2 battery storage box. Now... I'm going over this section of the forum and seeing the horror stories. Do I need to get another plastic battery box to keep my 3rd battery in? It seems that most of the battery boxes hold 2-4 batteries. Do you normally carry a full box (2-4 extra batteries) and one in your mod? Is there such thing as a 1 battery plastic storage tube?

I'm chuckling here because I store all my vaping batteries neatly in plastic cases.

I chuck all the household batteries together in a tupperware container in the cupboard that houses the water heater.......

please be careful with your household batteries that you chucked in a tupperware. batteries can short out on each other. if you are not willing to get a battery case for those, tape the ends of the batteries so they cant short out on each other. be especially careful of 9V batteries, as the pos and neg terminals are right next to each other.

I really had no idea this was an issue until I started vaping. I went and cleared out the box - and yes, there were 9v batteries tumbled together. They're all neatly stored in their (costco) packages and in the proper battery organizer thingy on the wall.

Thank you for pointing this out!

I know batteries shouldn't be stacked while in use. Can they be stacked safely while stored, provided they can't short out? I was thinking about purchasing a tube style battery container. They mention being able to put 1 18650 or 2 18350 batteries in it. I will include a link...

Oveready Derlin Capsule - 18650

I just want to be sure to be as safe as possible! I would think this is safe, I just want to get a second opinion.
Thanks
Curt

In those cases 4 18350s will fit, or 2 18650 or 2 18490. I always buy my batteries in pairs and by a battery box for each pair. They live in the boxes when not being used or charged. When I go out, I just grab spares (in the box) in whatever size(s) I need.

Once you start collecting a larger amount of batteries, it is a good idea to number them, and then rotate through them all. This will help their lifespan a bit.
